Does the wheel size have a large effect on range?
I’ve 20 inch wheels on a 2023 4CT with 25k miles. I drive mainly in Range mode with A/C off and a mix of town and dual carriageway driving but not long distances, I don’t accelerate hard but only show a range of around 270 max at the moment (live in Nth Wales). I see folks posting longer ranges but just wonder if that’s on different wheel sizes.
Not paranoid about range but just interested to see what the real max achievable is in real life.
Off to Spain in August which I’m looking forward to using IONITY & Zunder fast chargers as I usually only use home charging.

I have a 2020 4S with the larger battery and 21 inch wheels, I get about 200-220 miles on a full charge, at 85% charge it normally shows about 185 miles. Its not very good, not sure I have an issue or this is reasonable.

I'm getting exactly the same mileage (200 - 220) on my large battery 2022 turbo. I am also wondering if that is normal.
Im the second owner, so never saw the full charge mileage from new.

Whatever you are getting with 21’s, you could probably get ~5% more with 20’s on the same tires.

I wouldn't recommend fitting 21" tyres to 20" rims ?.

[sorry, couldn't resist]

I went from 20” to 21” and didn’t notice any comfort difference but kWh per mile decreased a little . Not enough to make a big impact driving in and around London

Porsche reports almost identical range ratings to U.S. EPA across different wheel sizes and motor sizes / trims.
The previous Porsche range calculator that took into account wheel size, wheel type, trim, temperature, and driving mix (the equivalents of city, secondary highway, and interstate) was also barely influenced by wheel size.
By contrast, almost ever other EV model has big range differentials for wheel size, whether EPA rating, third party tests, or anecdotal.
So … I don’t get it!

I swap between 20” and 21”. 21” for summer. I don’t notice a lot of difference in estimated range. Summer range is higher, but I’m sure it’s because of higher summer temperatures. Went back on the app to see m/KWh history, summer still has the highest.

My 100% range estimates are 200-220 miles all year round, throughout the seasons, using 3 tire sets (20” winter, 20” all-season which I use for spring here, 21” summer)
