Thoughts on whether having Truffle in a RWD will hurt resale? Is it better to go chalk/black?
I personally prefer the chalk/black - but it is going to be your car - Ive never considered resale as part of my process -porsche makes it hard to make really bad choices - there is a buyer for most any combination of choices.

here ya'go $125,380 w/Performance+ Battery…
Id also drop the PSCB brakes - this car is 90% regen and Porsche's brakes (all of them) are excellent and will stop the car with no fade under nearly all conditions - you have to work really really really hard to get any Porsche brake to fade…

that saves another $3500 off the build - I didn't do it however because it forces a different set of wheels…so that needs to be finessed for your personal cosmetic goals.

Of course it all about personal choices.

Burmester is way too expensive, The Bose is not that great but not awful.
Porsche Crest on Headrest. I watched them once in 8 months of ownership. Totally useless for my eyes as they are looking forward not backward.

Porsche Electric Sport Sound is just a gadget that I do not use.

Don't skip the PSCBs
I had a RWD loaner today while my 4S was in for its first service.
The difference in braking and deceleration was startling. The RWD Taycan lacks that front axle regen and those base brakes are merely adequate. I was so happy to be back in my 4S with my PSCBs and all wheel regeneration. Sure, the 4S is faster, but I was really surprised that the difference in braking was so great. If I was spec'ing a RWD car, I would go with the upgraded brakes.

ESS is underrated
Electric Sport Sound dramatically improves engagement of this car. It's one of the unsung heroes on the option sheet.

Save money without changing the experience
If you wanted to be a little leaner with your build without compromising anything really, these items would be on my strike list.
  • Thermally & Noise Insulated Glass $1,130 (Lots of money)
  • Advanced 4 zone climate control $990 (Are you a limo driver?)
  • Center Console Armrest with Porsche Crest $450 (Gaudy)
  • Porsche crests on the head rests $570 (Gaudy)
  • Door-Sill Guards $1,310 (Gaudy)
  • Power Charge Port Cover $640 (better aero without it)
There, I saved you $5,090 without any impact to your ownership experience. This stuff is all BS and you could keep the Burmester.

Elephant in the Room
I would never spec a $135k RWD Taycan anymore than I would spec a $165k Base Carrera. Take a step back and understand that 35% of your build price are options.

$135k? That's nice 4S build money, for a car that's quicker, stops better, and has some of the options here as standard equipment. Sure, it wouldn't be as fully loaded as this spec, but a smarter buy that will have a higher resale value and be easier to sell than a RWD Taycan loaded to max.

All of that said, the heart wants what it wants. The RWD Taycan is a great car. I'm just not sure that it's a $130k+ driving experience.

Also, don't forget the "On-Board 150 kW/400V DC Charger" at $460. With Superchargers opening up to non-Tesla vehicles in the states, it's a future-proofing option. I've already encountered 400V ChargePoint chargers capable of pushing above 50kw, which is all you will get if you skip the option.

Excellent points! Do you think PASM is worth it? I can’t get RAS without it but I’ve seen so many mixed opinions on both.

Also regarding the elephant in the room I totally agree which is why I had to step away from the configurator and get opinions here. I almost did ditch for the 4S but when I started spec’ng, it got too expensive too quickly, well over $135k and I noticed the packages are different so the pricing structure is not apples to apples. I decided to just stay with the RWD and attempt to talk myself off the ledge with options.

I have my dream build, but it's too expensive. I need some help getting this under $130k (130 is my max). I posted separately about Burmester vs. Bose, I still want the Burmester but recognize it's the biggest money suck on this order. Would love some feedback and opinions please! My freeze date keeps moving, it was 8/26, then 9/8, then 9/14, now 9/21....so it seems I have some time.

I am torn between Truffle interior and Chalk/Black (US), but I included the Truffle since it's more expensive so this would be the max configuration:

The Burmester is low-hanging fruit and is not worth the $5700 over the Bose. But don’t take my word on this—go listen to both systems (preferably in a Taycan) and I think you’ll hear that the difference is negligible.

As for the Technology package, lose that too, but keep the Lane Change Assist and add the adaptive cruise control. The passenger display is a waste of money as it only works if someone is sitting in the passenger seat. Unless you travel regularly with someone or have a very well-trained intelligent dog who can "nose" the controls it's useless.

Finally, lose the surface-coated brakes. As Dave correctly states, most of the braking is regen.

Definitely keep the Thermal & Noise Insulated glass option. It will keep your car cool, and improve the acoustics making the Bose sound even better.

Dave's build is a solid build too. Follow his advice.

Air suspension is totally worth it. More efficient as the car can get lower and better ground clearance when you need it.

I know you’re trying to meet your budget of 130k. I highly optioned a RWD as well. I also highly optioned a Base Panamera years ago. I kept the vehicle for 7 yrs, sold it last year, which was a different year for used vehicles, and made out pretty good. I don’t regret the decision, which is why I did the same with Taycan. I enjoy the gimmicks and features, if that’s you, don’t feel bad about your decision. A lot of this is your own personal choice.

the brakes are excellent in any form and all brakes pass the "porsche torture test" which is 25 full threshold braking trials from 80% top speed in a row with no break and no brake fade...

I do however believe that 4 wheel regeneration is superior to single axel regeneration (4/4S vs. RWD) - but the brakes themselves are more than sufficient - the difference between 4/4S and RWD is most likely NOT the brakes but rather

the superior braking of AWD Regeneration & better standard tires on the 4/4S vs. the RWD

brakes do not stop the car, tires stop the car.

I would ditch Olea leather and go two tone chalk/black - will look great with the white exterior.
Personally would also lose the brakes - job done!
