Fabulous.
I love the complementary combination of green and purple so I was always going to like it!
Should be half-decent weather today Frank. I expect a full road report, nothing less will do ?

Next week a summer vs winter tyres update! No slacking off. ?

With luck mine ought to be finished today, but I don't expect the SA will get wind of whether it has or hasn't until middle of next week. We shall see.

It was fully charged but went down a fair bit with the heater on whilst registering my key etc. The range predicted was, as expected poor.
200 miles t 97% iirc
so please for you !!

sounds pretty good to me on the smaller battery.
My estimator shows 163 at 80% which is 203 miles at 100% on the larger battery !! That’s pretty rubbish.

You can't get the smaller battery on the Cross Turismo but I wasn't surprised, new un-bedded brakes, very cold and very wide tyres are pretty well the worst case scenario for range.

What will be interesting is whether the narrower winter tyres give a bigger gain than the loss due to higher rolling reistance - my guess is that it will.

On our Prius we get 10 to 20% less efficiency in winter and on winter tyres but they are the same width as the summer ones, I have always guessed 10% is just the tyre and when it is more it is on very cold days.

My winter wheels haven't arrived yet but I'll be putting them on as soon as they do.

The Cross Turismo 21" are the only wheel available for the Taycan that I like a lot so they were always the choice. I chose volcano grey paint to cover the shiny bits but the colour is not on the option list any more.

Hope the dealer looked after you on that!

Glad to hear so many are receiving their cars after such a tortuous process.

I thought I'd skipped much of the production debacle with a September 16th build start, but should have twigged when it didn't exit production for over a month (October 18th)... clearly something not right.

It's now been sitting somewhere for the past 6 weeks with an "additional QA check" block, with no status update, explanation or delivery estimate. PAG supposedly unresponsive, OPC seemingly helpless.

Absent a convincing progress update and delivery estimate before the end of the month, I'm cancelling the order Jan 1st. I know OPC, PGB and PAG won't give a toss what I do, that's fine. I just can't be doing business with a company that thinks it's ok to treat its customers with such derision.

Like many here recently, I too got an email from my SA after over 6 months of total radio silence!

Well, it was a reply to my chaser asking about order status. And it was to say no allocation but he “do(es) believe we’re still on track for Q2 delivery next year” (CT4S ordered wk1 ‘22). But I did get a Porsche email… although no crest in the signature as I probably didn’t tick this extra ?

Was that the "Thank you for your order email....."? If so you have an allocation.
Which dealer?
I ordered from PRG in June 22 and mine is now at Sheerness awaiting PDI and transport to Reading

I wish it was this order confirmation email mate but no, just the SA saying no news, no allocation, and around 6 months still to wait. It’s with Portsmouth to whom I moved my order after Swindon (nearest to me) told me they had 14 customers in the queue in Dec ‘21.

I probably should have gone to Reading which is only 30min further down the M4…

I’m really in two minds about it. The excitement has totally faded now, and more importantly I’m unceasingly worried about the economic downturn (I work for a premium electronics manufacturer) and having to fund a 5-6% mortgage in 3 years time. At my relatively young age and in this context, I simply shouldn’t put too much £ in a car.
But then I am totally nuts about cars and feel like it’s a great one to own… + my son is pushing me to make more eco conscious decisions. Another 6 months to think about it more might be a good thing after all ?

This for me.

Will have a think over the holiday, but pretty sure I'm going to bin it off.

More perusing of the approved used and lots more going on there. A very nicely spec'd Tutbo CT for 129.5...looks like 8-9k lower than list. Am not spending that on a used car, but happy to wait it out and see what comes available on the used market over the next quarter. Still wouldn't have an allocation by then it seems...

Dealer update inc. screen shot...snip below

MyPorsche is still showing as stage 3 of 5 (scheduled for production) which I understand is normal as there is around a 10 day lag on any 'real-time' updates.

How could/would I track it?
