As the cooler days draw in; I had reason to put the heater on. After a while; I noticed only very little heat coming out of the fans.

No matter…. My OPC ordered a new HVAC and I can have it fitted whenever I want.

And at 10 degrees ambient; there’s enough heat in the car to be comfortable.

BUT - I can’t heat the battery and after 200 miles I needed a top up at IONITY on Glasgow. Max speed…. 60kw. Argh!

check your heater chaps.

oddly; the battery temp seemed to rise only after charging. And significantly. From 14 to 30.

Had a heater unit fail on Tesla in warranty. Dead of winter too. Took about 10 days to get parts (which is quite good for Tesla in the UK). I see that Porsche have heaters which fail too.

You may have the dreaded AC fault which requires replacement parts to fix. I think it relates to pressure sensors.

The battery should heat up during the early stages of an ultra fast charge to around 32C. Perhaps Ionity wasn’t delivering its best today either.

Jeke74….

Nope. Mine is a 2022 C4S running the newest PCM. My gut is that perhaps your hvac has been busted a while.

My heater packed up today Paul, sound like the same issue.

I'm awaiting a call back from Glasgow OPC to book it in....

Thankfully the heated seats are keeping the kids moaning in check on the school run otherwise I'd be very annoyed indeed...

Sorry to hear that.

It’s a 5 hour fix. However I learned that Porsche won’t send a replacement until they get the old one.

Still, was fixed with 3 days in OPC Aberdeen.

Ugh starting last Thursday, I'm having the same problem. The cabin heater and the battery heater are both kaput.

This means that I'm going to have to take my son's Subaru on a road trip on Tuesday. Otherwise, I'd be looking at an extra 4 hours of charging during my single-day trip. Boo!

I've got email into the dealer about this. If he adds any info, I'll post it here.

What temp did your battery drop to? Is there a minimum temp. My battery seems to be very low (compared to last year), granted the car isn't getting used a lot at the moment so it can't be warmed up.

Battery would normally warm up to around 32C when using an ultra fast charger - pre-heated or not. If the battery ain't up to temp then the first part of the charging session will be to put some heat in there.

Minimum temp will be ambient temp, right? Once you start driving it will obviously warm up but gentle driving won't see much more than 20C depending on external ambient and driving style. Longer distances - say motorway cruising would see 30C (ish).

Great, my heater stoped working too. Was fine this morning and returning home in the evening. Only cold air when I took the kids to hockey two hours ago. Kind of hoped it might start again when picking them up but unfortunately not.

Will contact the dealer tomorrow and hope they can fix it within 3 weeks.

Prepared everything to go skiing with the Taycan. Winterwheels, chains, …

This is a safety defect. The high voltage in-line heater is main component in Taycan's defogging and windshield defrosting system. In US this safety defect should be reported to NHTSA.

The 2022s needed an update so either you got the update or you’re most likely not running the newest PCM. I had to update my 2022 as well. It’s possible if it was a very late 2022 maybe you got the update already. Do you have colored icons on the PCM or black and white?

I have a 2022 CT4 delivered in Europe end of April. One of the first delivered with colored icons. It also needed an update. I had it two weeks ago. My heater stopped working last Friday and it is in now to be fixed. No news yet about the parts etc. I saw in the app that it was in the shop all night and all day with the frunk and windows open and now it is back on the parking.

I am also not sure if they did the update two weeks ago. I got a invoice today for some things they had to do while it was in. This mentions all work done: balancing the wheels, conforming the problem with central locking without solution yet, confirming humming sound and confirming it is normal but is doesn’t say the update was done. So maybe they did that last night. Can’t check it now.
