Fun; I’ll pull this down when I get back from travels.

Hopefully at some point this will be on Porsche’s roadmap - but in the meantime being able to lock/unlock/the alarms would be useful as well.

Wonder if we could get remote park to work - just as a party piece :

@tigerbalm holy crap your library is a game-changer for me!

I’ve been working on a charge/trip tracking app called Chargey - I’ve posted some screenshots here and there. Data entry is largely manual, but I did write code to import from the Wallbox charger, and to OCR charger screens to mitigate it.

With your library I can make my app automatically start and end charge sessions as reported by the car!

Also, as a fellow iOS developer, I have to say I just absolutely love your NetworkClient.swift class. I do something similar using generics but yours is more elegant.

Looking forward to your app @DerekS – especially the trip tracking part. For my road-trips, I'd love a simple, focused app that would just record the exact route driven. There are a few on the app store, but they are filled with feature bloat.

Bonus points if someone could convince Apple to allow it be a CarPlay app.

Also, as a fellow iOS developer, I have to say I just absolutely love your NetworkClient.swift class. I do something similar using generics but yours is more elegant.
You're very kind – especially since in the last year or two, I've been lost to management and don't get to code as much as I used to.

The interest on this thread has given me the nudge to continue and improve the library. Tesla has a very vibrant community around a similar library.

Btw, my stretch goal is to reverse engineer* the "send trip with waypoints" to the car from the My Porsche app.

When I have that, then I can do proper route planning on ABRP, extract the route using their published APIs and then "send" that specific route to the car.

Linking ABRP up to the PCM Nav will go a long way to ironing out the current glitches.

I'm close.

* By setting a HTTP Proxy on my iPhone networking settings – and then performing a man-in-the-middle attack on the proxy that I control so I can terminate the HTTPS connections and see the request bodies when I send routes to the car from the My Porsche app.

Got a very basic demo working of a "flash" button working from the watch! Takes ~15-20 seconds for the command to make its way to the car, but it's good to see that the end-to-end idea works! Now to add complications and refine the app experience :)

Great progress @featherless considering where it was this time yesterday! Also interesting to see the code scale from the size of a Mac through the phones down to a smartwatch. Considering the very different memory and cpu capabilities.

That would be nice. I do get messages from the Porsche app on my watch. Charging complete / climatisation complete is not very useful.
Connections approved message with plug and charge is really fast: a couple of seconds after plugging into Ionity / Fastned my watch vibrates confirming connection. And two days ago I got a message charging ended when I didn’t want to. Ionity chargers stopped when I had a coffee. I wouldn’t have noticed and would have returned to a partially charged car. Because of my watch I returned and connected to another charger

for me it would be useful to follow the charging proces and activate climatisation.

Side info:
For those who try to make the python library work on macOS:
If you get an error about VIN number not defined, there is a problem with the ssl certificates on your local system.

You have to run this to fix it:
"/Applications/Python 3.7/Install\ Certificates.command" to update your local ssl certificates.

Video update showing the latest proof of concept, with vehicle status and location information being loaded into the watch app. Definitely lots of rough edges to round out still (network connectivity on the watch is not great), but it's looking promising! Super neat already to have all of the information packed into a tiny area :)

I've got a basic version of the app working enough to start opening a very early Alpha TestFlight pool. If you're interested in testing out an alpha build of the app, send me a direct message with your email address and I can send you an invite.

Note that the app is in a *very* early alpha stage, and it's very basic. The only features it really supports right now are:

- A circular watch complication showing your car's remaining charge
- The app shows every car connected to your MyPorsche account. Each car shows the car's charge, remaining mileage, total mileage, and overall locked/opened status of the car.

The app works as a standalone Apple Watch app, but I think you'll need TestFlight installed on your iPhone to install it.
