Dealer said to me that they were having to give all prior allocations to customers ahead of me who were getting delayed by the heater issue and hadn't got the car yet. Said that the factory had stopped issuing new allocations.

I am going to try phoning around and see if other dealers are saying same or not....
Which dealer?

This is a shocking message from Porsche, I really feel for you. It’s crazy that one component should result in them giving you a message that your already allocated car will be at least six months delayed. I hope this rectifies itself as they will really damage their reputation continuing in this way.
As far as I'm aware it's not possible to pull rabbits out of hats - not even for Porsche.

Supply chain issues haven't gone away.

I agree @W1NGE but even with the 12v battery factory fire they weren’t postponing allocates slots by 6 months +!

Yes have had a VIN for 6+ weeks
Also are now offering me £7000 less on my tradein since the last time they gave me a tradein price in November so I am giving them my car today before it loses more £££££££.
Think we are going to see more cases of used values dropping, late Jan/Feb 2023 seems to be the point of biggest values hit. I think if I was in your position, I too would release your current car as to mitigate further decreases.

That would be due to the 1st March registration plate change.

Still on for end of Month. Is it finally happening...?
Possibly the worst ever rollercoaster of being unsure about delivery, actual status
of vehicle and more than a little frustration.

Yes agreed. And due to UK capital tax allowance rules, it has to be a new car (unregistered) so no option to buy 2nd hand or demonstration car.
I'm pretty sure the tax allowance applies to ex-demo cars....though it may depend on mileage.

I ordered a RWD last Autumn 2022 which arrived at port (Emden) about 3 weeks ago and has been stuck there since. I was due to collect it 1st March from the dealership (Porsche York) and am currently awaiting an update. Has anyone else been told the vehicle is 'stuck at port' and if so so why and for how long?! Thanks for any feedback.

Not sure if you've already seen my post but my car was delivered to the dealership in February and failed PDI, stop sale applied due to half the heater matrix not working, heater was then fixed and handed over 3 weeks later - 1/3/23.

It could be all cars shipped in the same period are now on stop sale and to keep at port of entry until spare parts and space in the workshops becomes available to address all of this.

Thanks for the response. Makes sense what you're saying - I will put this to the dealership and ask for an update. Very frustrating!
