Ok, this is as much of a question as a complaint (but it is a complaint).

I assume that it is impossible to change settings so that the bright overhead airbag indicator lights can shut off when everything is working as designed (i.e., no lights when passenger airbag is on because there is weight in passenger seat or when airbag is off because no weight in passenger seat).

I would understand a warning light if airbags are off but there is weight in the seat, but I don’t get why they need to be on at any other time.

a warning light that is constantly on, particularly when all is well, loses its effectiveness as a warning light.

and it’s distracting and ugly.
On the same topic, while I got used it it, seeing red back seat seatbelt warning whenever starting to drive seems like Porsche cheaped out on occupancy sensors, now that also trains the driver to ignore red warnings on the dash. I know I don't pay attention to them anymore, and if any new red warning icon was to present, I am almost sure I would not notice.

After exactly one month and 2100km driven in my Taycan, I have my first complaint. I'm not sure if it's this car or automatics in general (as I've never drove an automatic before) but how in earth do you milimetrically creep with the car during parallel parking or even just wanting to move 0.5 cm (1/4 inch) forward or backward? It's impossible for me.

Today I spent 5 min stopped in a traffic jam playing with the brake and there's no physical way of only moving the car an inch without feeling a big stop and pendulum movement on halt.

I used to be known for being able to squeeze a car between two cars with just a couple of inches leeway in front and back and park with milimetric precision without ever touching neither car. I guess those days are over?

This "quirk" of the Taycan drives me nuts. No way to smoothly move the car an inch. It's not just you.

I have one particular car park where I have to reverse very close to a brick wall, but it's on an uphill incline.

It makes you feel like someone who has never driven a car before..... trying to very slowly creep up to the wall, but the car doesn't want you to do it and brakes, or rolls forward.

I get out and see people giving me the same look that I give when I see an incompetent OAP trying to make a manoeuvre - who maybe should have given their license up years ago.

I wonder whether this is a settings issue because I never have this problem. I do not doubt you all, but each day I pull within 2” of a wall and I can do so very smoothly without hesitation, resistance, or complications.

I think creep speed should have been settable, all the way down to zero. And it should be a speed setting, not a power setting.

Do you have maneuvering assist on? I pull in real close to things in my garage, but always have to disable it, or else it beeps and randomly brakes on its own. The driveway is a bit uphill, so I have to throttle the accelerator a bit, but once in the garage, the car creeps on its own just fine.

The cup holders are in a really awkward position - you can't naturally reach for the cup, and using bottles they're in the way of the screen. No idea where I'd suggest as an alternative, but finding them really awkward

Pretend the water bottle is a stick shift when you are bored.

Sounds like you need one of these - completely hands free driving. Perhaps a Porsche Design branded one for $499.

Yep - why in part I have the Porsche cupholder Ashtrays to 'smooth or level' that area out and act as storage in my console - I never have drinks in there anyway - modified one of the ashtray inserts to be a MagSafe wireless charger and a key storage in one :)

And as noted by many others the cursed armrest storage lid is the other massive design flaw esp as it does not stay up when opened - amazingly annoying.

And finally why you have to grope around in the dark and have the dexterity of a bloody gymnast to discover where the usb C ports are in there is another fail - but in the grand scheme of things pretty minor issues I suppose!

So, the Porsche app will show that all is well with all windows up and doors locked.

Then if you leave the location and lose connectivity to the car, the app nearly ALWAYS shows some problem like a window down or doors unlocked UNTIL it connects to the car again, at which point it will convert back to all is well with all windows up and doors locked.

Why? The car didn’t move and nothing was done to the car. Why wouldn’t it retain previous status (in this case, all is well) when it goes offline rather than display some trouble status that has never existed?

This used to stress me out until I figured out what was happening.

also, nonsensical over/under values for tire pressures on app is inexplicable.
