1. If i'm locking the car with the dog inside, I want the internal sensors off. I've tried a variety of key fob button presses to achieve this, but always seems to go off!

So how do you do it?

2. Double - deadlocking the car (i.e. you can't open from inside if you smashed a window or whatever). To make sure i'm doing that correctly - 2 presses on the key fob and it makes a clunking noise. That right?

Pressing lock on the key fob twice should deactivate the alarm. I tried this last week and it worked. My dog was in his bench but the alarm didn’t go off

don’t forget to turn on the AC with your phone. It can be switched on for one hour.

and put a note on your windscreen that your dog is fine and the AC is on and they don’t have to brake a window to give him fresh air.

Did you know you can do it from inside the car befofe getting out using the Preconditioning button on the battery screen?

You’re leaving the dog in the car, leaving the note you suggested on the window, so presumably you are thinking about it as you’re leaving, not once away from the car. Better for the dog too if everything is taken care of before you leave the car.

I was more thinking about when you’re popping into a petrol station to grab a coffee and some twinkies :))) rather than leaving the mutt in the car for a long period of time. But leaving the aircon a very good idea, however long it is.

I am not actually leaving a note but I have been thinking about it. I the really rare cases (once on holiday actually) we had to leave him in the car while shopping for groceries. I put him in the trunk in his bench. With the tinted windows I don’t think he was visible from the outside. Would be stupid to return to my car and finding a fellow, but over enthousiastic, dog lover trying to smash my burglary regarding, noise insulated rear windows.
Correct though could also have activated it before leaving the car. Does it show in the app when you do so? Because it the app it shows a 60 minute coins back timer.

hey bob... sure someone has told you this as haven't read all replies. when you turn the car off, on the PCM it says 'turn internal surveillance off' .. if yo turn it off it stops dog babies setting off alarms etc xxx hopefully that's what you are asking ... I get exited on the rare occasion I think I can help lol xxx

that's the right box, exactly...... so untick the box in the bottom right and there you have it..... interior surveillance off... doggies left to party and not trip the alarm.... anything dog related... I'm here !!! my reason in life clearly :))))

Double check it for sure, but I'd think so. When I leave the car sometimes and the default 5m preconditioning is on after getting in and out of the car, if I check the app within 5 minutes it does show preconditioning and time remaining.

You don’t mean to say that after you have reached your destination and when you get out of the car the precondition goes on, correct? It only kicks back on after you lock it, walk away, and say you forgot something in it so you unlock it to get then it kicks back on. It also kicks back on if you open the trunk after locking it. It’s a feature I turn for my wife but it’s annoying sometimes because it unnecessary drains the battery if you don’t intend to stay in the car. I would then have to use the app to turn it back off.
