Just smacked the crap out of the bottom of my Taycan on way to Chicago;(

Can you show the picture of the damage and point of leakage of fluid.
I cannot imagine something like this sits that low, or the damage came from a hard hit that broke the plastic reservoir that sits in front of the windshield where the filling point is.

What's a gas station?
The sad thing is this gas station wasn’t the original charging station the route plan picked. I diverted to get me free charge heh with EA

I don’t have pictures yet, will try and take some tomorrow from home and am asking for some from service Monday. Did get diagnostics and write up. In all quoted an Estimate of about $7k for parts and material, however some of it either seems inflated and worrying. They don’t have parts or time today/tomorrow and said it was safe to drive home as most of the damage is cosmetic.
While I wasn’t going really fast, I bottomed out and then smacked both concrete fuel reservoirbumps very hard.

:(.

The subframe support worries me.
The Calibration cost seem bonkers, when my normal dealership did the calibration for windshield replacement it was only a few hundred bucks.

But hoping the shop is correct and it is all just cosmetic.
Filed a claim and am going to try and get my normal Porsche dealer to look at it this week.

$7k, for grounding your car! FFS!

Who are you claiming against, the petrol station or your own insurance? If the latter, personally i'd take it to a porsche specialist rather than main dealer and i imagine the cost wouldn't be in the same ball park.

Hoping for the best for the OP. A big part of the reason I went CT is due to the roads in the NorthEast of the US. Uneven surfaces, weird transitions between different road materials, potholes, and speed bumps make it a bit of a jungle to do normal commuting. The extra ride height has saved my bacon on more than one occasion.

I don't have sport chrono so I don't have the drive mode selector on the steering wheel. Instead I have my 2nd Home Screen set up so that I can quickly change to Gravel mode when I see something that might destroy the bottom of my car...

that is a good idea. I don’t think the sedan has a gravel mode :( or if it does I am not sure how to find it.

The air suspension is great for comfort but it bottoms out so easily. I try to never go over a speed bump at more then 25km/h (usually less) because on the few occasions I was distracted and hit them at 30km/h you can clearly hear the hiss as the suspension bottoms out. Eventually I'm gonna hit that ground hard.

I still love the air suspension though.

The sedan definitely doesn’t have gravel mode. I don’t know if there is a mode that sets the suspension to high. Does anyone else with a sedan know?

Smart lift only and that only goes up to 30km/h

Plus there are times (when entering the car and tapping lift immediately) that the lifting symbol blinks and blinks but I start doubting the car is actually lifting before you start moving.

Oh and after 3 months of ownership I just realized it remembers the chassis height in normal... Forever. So if you set it to low, it will always start in low. I only discovered because I always switch into individual mode before starting to drive and for a week the lift symbol would flash. Initially I thought my air suspension must have a leak to require lifting the car into normal height on each start (my individual mode is set to normal chassis height) until I went into normal mode and noticed that selected chassis height was "lower"

I had some concerns with ride height driving around some of the streets near where I live, then realised that 'Range' mode sits lower so popping it into 'Normal' mode gave extra clearance - voila, no more problems! :giggle:
