Trip exports now include speed and electrical consumption data!

Also improved the polling logic behind the app with the goal of providing fresher data while the car and app are in use.

I also have alerts and Dynamic Island / Live Activity support currently behind a debug-only feature flag, and will continue iterating on these two features over the coming weeks.

@featherless I’ve only just come across this. Signed up to the beta, amazing, thank you for taking the time to develop this, very useful.
One thing I’ve noticed and I’ve had a look through the chat and haven’t come across it yet, but is there a way to change the units? My complication seems to dismay on the phone app as miles, but kilometres on my watch.
I don’t know how easy or difficult it is to tap in to the API, but are you looking to extend the watch app to preheat/cool, lock/unlock, display charging info when plugged in?
I guess those are the limits of the API at the moment. Certainly hoping Porsche add additional functionality to remote open/close windows, open/close trunk and frunk, open charging ports, honk the horn, trigger homelink, add Siri Shortcuts , flash lights, trigger heated seats and steering wheel.
Wishful thinking hey? Will be good to see what additional options come with the update to the Porsche app itself once they role it out.

Quick example of how you can display the data which @featherless has now made far easier to export for you car via the app:

Output format from the Electric Sidecar app on left and a simple plot of the average mi/kWh vs trip distance on right - in the link above I calculate predicted ranges for this averaged consumptive data and compare to that predicted from the PCM after charging the car etc.

That would be brilliant. I’ve tried things like the ABRP app and it just isn’t an easy to use interface and got incredibly frustrated with it. Why build an app that doesn’t follow the typical characteristics of iOS as opposed to reinventing the wheel? Seems like they decided not to follow the standard usability heuristics but I suppose it’s gutsy to do your own thing. Anyway, that’s definitely not going to change now it’s owned by Rivian, as I imagine it will begin to take a more in-house look and feel.
I found the connection to troncity was annoying and delayed and don’t even get me started on the watch app. It didn’t work in the trial but conveniently worked once I paid for it, but it was disappointing to say the least.
I’d be happy to help if you ever need any UX support. I’ve worked on many apps in my career, including some vehicle based apps, although most recently across finance. That said, I found your app great, you’ve done a great job.

They are already available, you just have to configure your wallpaper.

Thanks - those are two widgets - one for SOC, one for range. I was asking if it was possible to combine SOC and range in one single small widget.

I have 3 Porsche vehicles in my account; only one of which is a Taycan. Some of the items work (like lock status), but others give errors. I know it's only designed to work with Taycan but thought you'd like to know.

Have more time nowadays, so will dig in more.

The battery percentages are tracked each time any of your widgets updates, which is roughly every 20 or 30 minutes due to budget limits on iOS. I'm considering some approaches that would allow more granular data tracking but I haven't implemented this yet.
