Like some others, my PMCC overheats and this video shows the end result! I need to replace this power cord: Part # 7pp.971.678.ed

Does anyone know if this is the equivalent part (for NEMA 14-50)?

https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/skuhybg2nema1450.html

Thanks in advance

for what porsche charges for the Powersupply cables you can almost purchase an entirely separate, more reliable, same speed, fully compatible, and non-overheating NEMA 14-50 EVSE…

but the suncoast part _IS_ the NEMA 14-50 power supply cable for the PMC+/PMCC…

what NEMA socket are you plugged into?

@daveo4EV - I have a NEMA 14-50 and had 2 Teslas in the past using the same outlet and never had a problem overheating.

I’ve read through all of your posts and seems unless I want to buy a new EVSE, the easiest resolution is if I have a 50A / 14-50 set-up at home, instead of charging at 40A, should I just charge at 20A and not leave it plugged in for longer than necessary? Thoughts? Also, dumb question, but if I just have a PMC+, where/how do I adjust down to 20A?

Appreciate all you do on this forum.

@kewina12 - you can use the settings of the PMCC (accessed in the PMCC menu) to charge at less than 40A - I have mine set to 32A and it works perfectly, not too hot (although obviously takes a bit longer to charge than at 40A)
