Considering Canceling MY23 Taycan 4S

I ordered a fully speced Taycan 4s in September 2022 and have been waiting over a year for its delivery. First was told it would be here in March and keeps getting bumped up month by month. People are already getting their 2024s delivered and I'm still waiting on a 2023. I was able to get a 10k discount but still have to pay 14k luxury tax. At this point I rather just keep waiting for a 911 Carrera 4 gts allocation and cancel the Taycan.

i ordered a taycan in jan 2022 and finally received it last week. The car is fantastic and was worth the wait. all is forgotten. It's a 2023 and yes 2024s are rolling out, but it's still a new car with less than a 100 km on it.

Its been built since February, just been sitting in a boat for the last 7 months. Expected delivery is now October 23rd

There is no significant change in My24 and it is almost there right? Talk to your SA to split the $4k you have to pay more after the discount and extra tax. I would happily take the My23 instead of waiting for another new car. The first mile you’ll drive your brand new Taycan will let you forget everything. The car is superb

Last year my car was built in July and delivered at the end of November. It was extremely frustrating…I totally get it. If you want to drive an EV, this is the one to get. If you order a 911, you will wait even longer and still be subject to delays. In both cases, you will have an excellent vehicle but you will get your Taycan much sooner.

I cant believe there is still a wait for these...I know a year ago there were none to be found anywhere and if you did it sold for way over sticker...

I just checked the Hawaii dealership and they have 7 in stock...more than any other model.

Just traded in my 22 GTS Taycan which cost me 176K and only 12K miles on it and best I could get was 105K. That is a huge hit if you ask me...

So if I were you cancel and go with a better reseller down the road

This is quiet the head scratcher. How does a car sit on a boat for 7 months! I see youre Canadian and so for myself the second I locked the build things just moved along. Majority of thr wait is on the lockdown!
If you have the option to cancel, there are low km used ones for far better price. But new is new. If you can wait 2 more months all good.
But yes at the end of the day it's worth it. This is just ridiculous though.

The Tracker is showing October 23rd I haven't even reached out to my SA since the last delay.

That is crazy! Mine got on the boat and 2 weeks it was at NS. The 2 weeks later pickup. I thought boats of these caliber have to be moving to be in business and make money.

I would ask your dealer what recall notices are impacting your car, and specifically ask if it is subject to the APB2 battery integrity recall. The timing fits, I believe.

Get the 911 GTS. It will hold its value while the Taycan will sink like a rock.
