Great to hear you are so please with the Michelin tyres!

What mileage are you getting from them??
I put something like 12-15K on them when I traded in the car and they still had plenty of tread.

That is the reason I like these tires so much.

Call them. Talk to Chris. Have him see what he got me for INVOICE 13825.

Tell him I sent you, and that I need another set by the end of June myself :)

OK Mr Derek - I've had PS4S's on my last 4 cars and, as we've stated before here, we are both diehard fans - still am :)

BUT I can't honestly say that the PS4S's are noticeably quieter that the OEM Pirelli's I received on my 4S CT with 21" wheels - TBH I actually thought the Pirelli's were distinctly quieter but I was not comparing the noise levels on the same vehicle so not a valid test i.e. I had overlap between selling my M4 vert and receiving the Taycan so was comparing them - could have simply been that the M4's PS4S's were just too worn for a fair comparison (and yes roof was up ;)!).

By far the biggest diff to me would be thread wear, a major win to PS4S, and possibly that the PS4S's retain their initial road noise levels for maybe 2/3's of life.

Curious as to your perspective?

Well, I was comparing their road noise (and wet traction) against OEM Continentals, not Pirellis. It has also been quite a while so, YMMV.

Agreed - have not heard too many positives re Continentals - weird, thought I just read a post where you mentioned PS4S's quieter than Pirelli's - my bad!

EDIT - Ah - I did see that but a sideways ref perhaps:

I know there is much debate on these forums whether NF0 is needed or not.

That controversy aside, is there any hope that the 21" MIchelin PS4S will get NF0 certified or is that wishful thinking?

I’m very very late to this thread but found some of this stuff useful.

However folks freaking out about NF0 or not isn’t an issue unless you’ve looking to extend an OUTDATED warranty. If it’s out of warranty and you want to extend your warranty Porsche will need to do their 111 point check, during that check they’ll check the tyres are Porsche Taycan rated, if it isn’t NF0 it would fail and you’d need to buy some NF0 to get that extended warranty. That’s it. Not a safety thing per se.

But it could even be that the PS4S have since been added to that list.

I drove an Audi RS Etron with the Michelin Pilot 4S and I will say....damn the experience was vastly superior to my stock Contis!!
I intended on swapping the moment I got home but work/time/etc etc hasn't made that happen. Eventually, I felt like I could simply wait till my contis wore out and get the Michelins since my Contis are less than 6 months and 3-4k miles old.

I have now played with the traction control on this car......I think there will be drifting and burnout in the near future. I just have to find the space for it

Just a minor correction to the idea that MPS4S will be added to the N-rating list.

If and when that specific model of tyre is added to the list, it will be a specific N-Rated version, not any old MPS4S

I hate the Contis! Ps4s are better, p-zeros better still.

ps4s has the best tread wear.

I have All Season Contis, not great, and at 9k miles, they are wearing too fast.
I am looking for help to what would be a better choice in All Season.
I wish I could go for Ps4s but they only come in Summer version.

P4S are what 8 years old? Not sure why anybody would want them when the Pilot Sport S 5 and newer Continental Sport Contact 7 are available.

If I needed new tires today I’d get the N Rated P Zeros. They are a bit quieter than PS4s. Tread life better on the Michelins though.

P-Zeros have been below average for me in the two vehicles I've owned that came with them. 2021 E63s and 2023 M8 competition. Both drove much better with the Conti Extremes and PS4s. Much better tires wear too.
