I'm bringing my Taycan in for service and they mentioned that they will apply campaign "WPN9 - Re-programming central computer (PCM)". I searched the forum for WPN9 but didn't find anything on it. Does anyone know what this update is all about?

I am in the same boat.....Mine is going in tomorrow. Apparently some cars didn't receive NFO tires and mine needs to be checked. They also mentioned a 30 minute software update. I will ask for clarification tomorrow morning and report back.

I had this one just last week. It is WNP8, indeed sth related to PCM.
It worked well before on my TS CT MY22 and after the update it still does work well. Not sure what all happened behind the scenes.

From another forum, in Germany:
-WPN8: Reprogram control unit central computer (PCM) (due to possible black screen and also hanging up the charging schedule)
During the major update last year, where the PCM was changed from three to five icons, two ECUs were probably not properly addressed.

It was WPH4. Recoding control unit for assistance systems. Tires were NFO. Not many Taycans in my area.....but SA said all cars they've checked received NFO's.

Amazing- thank you. As in the UK, and right hand drive, my air con controls in the PCM have been inverted from new (6 months ago). ie left controls right and vice versa. I raised this so many times to my dealer and to Porsche UK. Every single time, they have said 'no update' or 'no fix' available. Then I see the first line of WPN9 which appears to be a resolution! I hope this fixes my issue, and am astounded how useless Porsche GB service to its dealers appears to be!

OMG! I never knew this was a thing. I think it would drive me nuts. I assumed you just went with "sync" mode so there was only one set of controls?

Yes - just use sync mode - but more annoying is that Porsche cannot fix it! Its clearly software as in some modes it works fine, but not others!

Sync mode used to reduce the bottom screen to one set of controls. Now, however, it won't do it for me, but the controls are still synchronised. Weird issue tbh.

Anyone know if you can pro-actively check if this applies to your car? Mine isn't coming up with any recalls or anything.
