Apologies the first post is not a new car pic but an ask for help !

Am 2k miles in and this weekend have had issues and warnings, looking to see if anyone has had anything similar, can offer any insight.

I experienced charging issues Sunday and then the car would not move, red electrical warning, could not engage drive or reverse. The issues cleared yesterday afternoon so have been out today and had two new Amber warnings.

I cannot get booked in until the new year and have some long trips planned over the next few weeks so wondering if I should be concerned and be pressing Porsche to sort it out before Christmas.

Thanks
Scott

So sorry to hear, this is a major bummer :( I'd definitely press on your Porsche dealer to get this addressed ASAP. It's really something they should find time for given that your car is essentially bricked. At the very least, a loaner vehicle in some form would be a reasonable expectation.

You must get it checked before taking any long trips. Mine had airbag fault and still has key not detected fault, some time ago I put it in P at traffic light and couldn't move for few minutes because key error, it was embarrassing.

1st thing - Lock it up and come back in the morning. Sometimes these things just go away.

2nd thing - You can get looked at within 5 days. It's the Porsche Assistance guarantee/commitment. So get it recovered by porsche assistance (phone them, not the dealer) and it will jump the queue. Hopefully it will be some sort of software glitch and a quick fix. If not then it will be a while i guess. Eitherway you should get an update within 5 days and hopefully the car back too.

While @BigBob is spot on with point #1, I would not trust this vehicle at all. Follow the advice in point #2 and get it looked at ASAP. Something seems really wrong here.

First, I think you should be concerned, unless you don't have an issue with being on a long trip with an inoperative vehicle. There is no way in hell I would take your car on a long trip.

Second, you have some serious issues going on here - not simply one error message. As others have said, get the car collected by roadside assistance and demand a loaner so that your holiday is not ruined by PAG.

What a nightmare - these problems should just not be occurring now that the car is effectively 3 years old.

Red warnings are not good at all but can be false positive but suspect this one is not (sorry). Suggests an issue with the main HV battery pack.

The impairment message - this can (and will) happen if you have the powered charge port doors and leave the DC flap open such that the door will close and then open again as it encounters the obstacle. Ensure the flap springs back into place to avoid this particular issue.

Locking and leaving for a few hours can work "wonders" and if you really can't get seen by a dealer you could disconnect your 12v battery (instructions in the Owner's manual) and go for effectively a hard reset / reboot. This might clear everything.

To be honest I would be wary of travelling far as it would be quite a stressful experience.

if the car is not driveable I would insist on an immediate appointment. you need to be assertive.

I had the same after 2 weeks of ownership. It needed a new charger, battery, rear motor, and battery heater, and they repaired it after 4 months in the garage. The key is to get a good Taycan loaner as it will take longer than they say as Porsche takes time to review at each stage. Good Luck

Thanks for all the feedback and advice, red warning again this morning and would not move so Porsche Assist are on their way.

Will feedback in due course.

So sorry to hear that you are having issues - my 4S had the same red error and had to have the whole HV battery replaced just a couple months ago. I thought the HV battery issue was just a 2020 "feature", but I see you have a GTS ST... mind if I ask what year? I just stepped into a 2023 GTS ST, and thought I wasn't going to need to worry about more HV battery issues. :(
