From what I read, the Cybertruck is using the 800V battery, so Tesla has some vested interest in supporting it, though I suspect they designed it to charge as 2 400V halves in parallel for existing 400V chargers.
yes - it's just engineering and they should be able to support 800V vehicle's - I'm pretty sure that the auto industry will grudgingly work on interoperability here - but some testing and real world experience is going to be required to see what Taycan can extract from a V4 supercharger in the real world -do we have any data from V4 superchargers in Europe where Taycan's could already plugin and give it a try - I'm pretty sure if what ever it does in Europe w/V4 will be what we will end up having for functionality here in North America.

Aren’t there a bunch of Tesla supercharging stations that are 250Kw? I know the originals were 150 but around me, most are 250. Can’t we take advantage of that or is there a “cap” at 150 for some reason even if the charger is 250Kw rated?
This is a great map that is easy to filter to 250kW and up superchargers (filter button is on the far left near the top). Yes, there are loads of them... https://supercharge.info/map

3. Tesla permission - yes. Which they seem pretty happy to give, based on the magic docks.
There aren’t many MDs so no demand issues. But I read that Tesla is staging acceptance at all SuC of other manufacturers to ease into the increased demand. I think Ford and GM are first in line. Not sure of the timeline. But I doubt 1/1/2024 for Porsche.

Has that been confirmed or was this another one of Elon's "goals" or "promises". If announced, did they announce how many chargers and locations would be available?
“Goal”, but in order to collect government money they will have to open. I think that will happen sometime in Jan 2024

Ok, then 2025 in limited quantity if it is typical Tesla. Musk was able to collect government money for announcing the swappable battery packs and we all know how that worked out.

The opening of V3 (and the few V4) Superchargers to CCS1 EV models via driver-owned adapters has not been specified.
The typical announcement from each manufacturer has been far more detailed on the timeline for switching over to the NACS port, accompanied by somewhat vague references to TSCN access for existing CCS1-equipped EV models from that manufacturer.
Given that anyone can buy an adapter (right now), and given that nothing needs to be done on the EV end, Tesla might start authorization via the app initially for only the first companies that agreed to Elon's terms (whatever they might be) and then BMW, Kiaundesis, and VAG won't get access until 2025 ... or perhaps if the first waves go well in 2024, then we could soon follow.
The only thing that can be known with any reasonable certainty about any plans by Elon is that they are not known with any reasonable certainty!

That's the word on the street. It is also unclear whether the Urban supercharger speaks CCS protocol.
I'll be quite content with TSCN access that is limited to the ~15,000 V3 Superchargers (plus however many V4) in North America.

I expect they will just add functionality similar to what EVgo and EA have - you register your car vin so you can initiate plug n play charging

that would require new software for the vehicle - there is no VIN information transmiitted via CCS right now - to expect _ANY_ plug&charge functionality is unrealistic - maybe future NACS based vehicle's may support plug&charge, but existing CCS1 vehicle's it's very very unlikely.

How EVgo works then? Just curios.

what vehicles support plug&charge with EVGo? also it's not secure - so someone's vin could be spoofed causeing charges to your account

someone will need to explain what mechanism EVGo is using - Taycan only support EA via account certficates and Porsche's implementation does not support multiple vendors.

in any case there is ISO standarding coming, but they will be more secure than VIN based implementations, and they will require new vehicle software and onboard charger changes…

we're all looking at app based charging or Point-of-sale stall based activation until further notice…

Autocharge+
Autocharge+ is available only for EVs with CCS connectors that support the two-way vehicle data sharing functionality. Most EVs with CCS connectors support this feature (including older EV models).
VW/Audi/Porsche are missing from the list…
