You were one of my 3 bets on who was going to "go there" first. We’re sure this isn’t just the facelift front end with active aero?
Hmmmm - the more I look at it now I think you may be correct! If you look at the center ‘tears’ on the RHS closest to hood there are ‘pieces’ that simply don’t match the cuts ….Forgive me but for a host of reasons, this looks fake. The cut pieces on driver side are jagged, yet the quarter panel is smooth. The passenger quarter is cut in a strange pattern that does not make any sense. The smooth cuts in the sheet metal had to be done by more than one tool. There are no cut metal pieces anywhere to be seen in or around the vehicle. The connecting sheet metal ribs are not deformed at all. There are no paint deformities that certainly would show with this amount of cutting.
Idk, it's a pretty convincing image (lighting, shadows look very natural). The edge where the fender is fastened to the trunk lid is bent. The cuts on the 'flaps' appear to be made after the main cut, as if to mock/create the appearance of 'aero elements'. The cutting pattern is similar between the 2 side, but not identical. Also note, on both sides, a bent plastic panel resting on the wheels - not sure why a fake would have needed to add that detail. Lastly, the elements of the frame under the fender show the gradual paint you'd expect..Forgive me but for a host of reasons, this looks fake. and you would know this, howWeed growers steal LED headlights to use as grow lights. The are not stolen for retail.
. Side markers suggest its a European model, unless they were added aftermarket. Can be used for growing cannabis apparently. One of the modules, heard about it in a YouTube vid.Man - never seen anything this bad - unreal - sincere condolences to you - this sounds ridiculous as I say it but the single good outcome might be that all that damage appears restricted to the two specific wing panels - but yes having to replace the light assemblies AND these panels obv not cheap!!!
Trying to get my head around how they plan to sell these as such a specific market and for the life of me I cannot see where the demand would be!
One of my insurers cited this as a factor in them not quoting me.Weed growers steal LED headlights to use as grow lights. The are not stolen for retail.
