I also like the aero wheels. I've been mulling over getting a second set for winters, so may go with these. According to the blurb, the wheels and tyres alone give another 25 miles. Wouldn't surprise me if the gain was bigger over the GTS Spyders100% out cars are still the same ones we bought. I don’t get the rants tbh, albeit I am slightly surprised that Porsche managed that many improvements in a refresh on the same platform. I mean I guess I shouldn’t be because they are Porsche, but whateverAnnoyingly I actually really like the new 21” Aero wheels when I didn’t like any of the designs other than the GTS wheels previously and they aren’t great with range ?? I’ll be enjoying my car until I think about getting something new
Another part of the blurb notes optimised brake pads and regenerative strategy give another 4%.
Also interesting to note that the battery uptick is in the same case (which will make sense given crash testing etc etc). I'm wondering how plug and play some of these things might be later - uprated battery pack, lighter motors etc.
New "charging" tube display option in the display is interesting (but hardly a dealbreaker).
I'm intrigued as to what "media incl. source" is now in the right tube....that could be addressing one of my bigger bug bears when it comes to navigating media using the steering wheel alone...
The display stuff, however, *should* be possible to put onto the mk1. We'll see if they do
