I haven't seen much posted about the Taycan's dual speed rear transmission.
i do see several people mentioning EV's SHOULD be more reliable without the moving parts of an ICE car - no cylinders, no transmission, etc - yes that's true with most EV's - but not the one we're all here about - the Taycan
I haven't looked into this - if it's the same as in ICE vehicles or a different technology - but i'm wondering - do ya'll expect it to be rather worry-free? If i plan on keeping this car 5 or 7 years - you think it'll need work? I haven't seen many (any?) people saying theirs has given them an issue - but my warranty ends rather soon and last thing i want to do is pay for a Porsche transmission out of warranty.
i'm 24k miles in, almost 3 years - and my car feels, looks and drives practically like it did on day 1. I don't mind keeping it a while - but that's the only part of the equation i'm not sure about
Thoughts?
