Would be cool if you could show your setup!

  • Left - tyre pressures (because there are no other options that are more useful)
  • Centre - map (ditto the above). Occasionally the Powermeter (more intrigue about what power was available at low charge)
  • Right - combination of media/trip/information
  • HUD - directions, driving assist and speed/signs (only really use it on longer runs...can be distracting on country lanes)
I'd prefer it if Porsche gave absolute flexibility of what to put in which tube. Trip info in the left, media middle, information right, sport chrono HUD....why not! Nav left, tyre pressures middle, driving assist right, power meter HUD....sure!

Agree 100%.
Having such limited options on what should be a completely customisable display is not ideal.
However, from what I've experienced this is similar on all VAG products.
Each brand / model has its own twist on data, so the code has been written to allow for for so much more configuration.
A missed opportunity.

The amusing thing is, IMO, that once you've decided to allow 4 options in one, 3 in another, 7 in another etc etc... It's actually harder to manage than just allowing freedom.

Much of the PCM system is unfairly maligned, but there are elements that feel like someone who has never lived with a car developed... Or they gave it to the grad trainee to sort.

Agree 100%.
The UI and UX are quite poor.
And it shouldn't take too much to improve them.

This is an area where Tesla are good - at least in theory - because they keep developing software over a relatively long period of time.
Whereas many / most manufacturers do some essential patches - usually to get working something that was late / faulty / poor on launch - but leave major changes for a facelift version.
Which isn't good enough unless they are hardware constrained.

Middle map, left drive / traffic assist, right battery details.

Assuming we would get the new interface in the J1.2, it will probably change

The Taycan is the first car I have had where I could change the dash display and after dicking about a bit I have gone back to how it was delivered, tyre pressure, power meter and trip summary.
I use the centre display mostly as a triple display with consumption, sound and map.

Tire / Power / Info, center screen is Android Auto on Google Maps split with Spotify.

I'm obsessed with TP after having two nails on 4~5 months. I can't let go of it now.

I like the power meter to see when regen kicks in when starting out, then the focus is mostly "don't get a ticket," so the big number in the middle without much extra is helpful for quick glance for me.

Haven't found anything on the right that really helps me yet. Of all the stuff I landed on battery temp on the info screen more out of curiosity than anything else.

I used Android Auto exclusively on my previous GMC truck because the infotainment system was so bad. I've gotten used to it to the point I prefer it over dealing with the OEM attempt. I will say, the ride height selection screen is often pulled up as well.

I've only displayed the speed :giggle:

I'm mostly driving with the HUD and I don't need all the info on the screen.

Minimalist at it's finest lol

That is the PDCC graphic, showing the anti-roll illustration. When turning the blue bars on either side move up to show the amount of counter balance needed.
