So, they are not offering a loaner and the HV tray order was approved by Porsche Germany today, I've told them to put the new protection plate on and get my car to me whilst we wait for parts. This is getting beyond a joke now.
This is what the PCNA CSR sent me a little while ago:

Please rest assured your vehicle is in good hands at Tom Wood Porsche. Our Porsche Cars North America management has confirmed that Tom Wood Porsche has handled the diagnostics and parts ordering properly. Unfortunately, goodwill, a courtesy loaner vehicle nor rental reimbursement can be provided in this case, especially since this is an insurance related repair. All parts have been release for transport from Porsche Germany to Tom Wood Porsche. Once the battery parts arrive at Tom Wood Porsche, the repair will be completed. Should you have further questions about the specifics of the repair, please consult Tom Wood service directly.

Thats a great suggestion! How about the OP just asks for the damaged parts to be given to him as a “souvenir” so we can do some tests hehe
You will also need additional equipment to try to dent it, such as a hydraulic press, various calibers of guns, various materials shapes to drop onto the plate or drop the plate onto, etc. Then of course a camera crew to film it all. Sounds like a job for one of the science youtubers.

@Maelstrom, I understand that they are still not providing you (or insurance that is paying for it) with any proof of diagnostics steps or data of the damages requiring complete HV battery unit replacement.

Can they provide steps that this handling entailed? It would be nice to know what PCNA considers proper diagnostics steps.

Of course you could be talking to an AI bot at this point, as everything in that message seems non-specific, non-committal, designed to placate customer without actually conveying any meaningful information. "Road to 20" might include replacing PCNA customer service with AI drones.

Wow that seems really bad! What stops someone (waiter!) selecting a large tip on your behalf after you’ve tapped. Surely that’s just opening the door for fraud. Can’t see that ever happening in the UK. Transaction amount is confirmed on screen before you tap. Value can’t be changed after.
I have tipped in cash only for over 25 years. Use to write "0" on the tip line until multiple restaurants added a "20.0" in front of my zero. For the past 20 years "CASH" is what I write on the tip line. However, I am fortunate enough to tip generously, especially when someone seems to need it, and they seem to appreciate the new $2 bill that is always added.

I'd just tough it out at this point. I don't think you'll ever get any battery diagnostics from them, as I don't think they will even perform them. They will just send the battery off to get (and probably keep) the core charge.

I figure that's why they've suddenly dropped the price from completely batshit 72K to a still-high-but-less-outrageous 44K.

At least it's not coming out of your pocket.

The nightmare is almost over!

I asked for it at delivery and they denied it as a matter of corporate policy, however, they collected a lot of data during PDI and sent it to corporate. My ODB reading was 99.95% when I measured it, which was about 2.5 months after the car was produced and 12v died during delivery time because there was cosmetic damage when the car had to be jumped at the port. I would be interested to know the ODB reading for the technically "exchanged" battery, which may not have the SoH of a brand new one. I am happy to meet @Maelstrom in the area and perform the measurement.

:CWL: I think you just dated yourself there. The above is an example of a scripted form letter from the 90's. AI is much more wordy. Here is what I got from a free online AI chatbot when I asked it to write a non-committal, pacifying email about a repair performed by an affiliate which is dragging on. I used ACME as the company name/brand.

Dear [Customer's Name],

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to provide an update on the repair of your [product name] at our affiliate repair shop.

Firstly, I want to acknowledge the inconvenience this delay may have caused you and express our sincere apologies. Please be assured that our affiliate repair shop has been diligently following all standard procedures to ensure your product is repaired to the highest standards.

While the repair process is taking longer than initially anticipated, we want to emphasize that this is to ensure you receive the premium service and quality you deserve. Our team is committed to delivering a thorough and meticulous repair, and we appreciate your patience during this time.

Thank you for your understanding and continued trust in ACME. If you have any further questions or need additional information, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Interesting that they denied providing it.
Manufacturers usually don't want to provide such information, primarily because it takes a lot of explaining of technical stuff to customers. This is a challenge as first they need to teach their staff to explain it, and second, the information is often beyond the capacity of the customer to understand. Worse, customer goes online and gets gaslighted by people explaining things like "oh, your battery state of health is only 99% on a brand new car!? That's like getting a new car with 1% of it's expected mileage already on the odometer (1% of say 200K miles expected life is 2,000 miles), you should demand a new car, not 1% used!". It is extremely hard to explain technology to an average person, so much worse in age of internet geniuses who have suggestions like "we should sent a rocket to explore the Sun at night so that it doesn't melt".

Over time people will learn what a battery SoH is, though it will have to be standardized somehow, like tire wear or mileage. This will have to happen if we are going to have a used EV market, otherwise nobody will want to buy an EV as they will have no understanding of how to ascertain the condition of a very expensive component.

Tesla has been making some progress in this arena, allowing all customers to enter a diagnostic screen, but not in the user manual and you have to lookup a secret password online (spoiler alert - it's "service", more details here), so technically not officially supported by Tesla but gets people used to typical numbers. You can even run a 24hr battery stress test on your own battery if you want to get more details about its state of health. Of course if you try to bring any this info up to your sales advisor, they will tell you it's unsupported information that you are not supposed to have, so they cannot comment on any of it.

Listening to how @Maelstrom has been treated by Tom Wood Porsche, I would be fuming by now. It's as though the car is no longer yours when you take it to an OPC. They are judge, jury and executioner. It hasn't cost them a bean and even though the customer is paying (albeit through insurance), you have little say.

They provide little or no detail to justify or explain their decisions, under the cloak of commercial privilege.

Even though this is in the US, this whole story has soured my views of Porsche. I had expected a lot more from them.
