There is indeed an apparent contradiction between the push for personalisation, embodied by the three recent Sonderwunsch press releases, and the organizational reluctance to allocate and deliver. Given the brand positioning and the price of options, custom configs should get healthy priority, but they inexplicably don't.

Deviated stitching is only available from Oct'24 production. I lost a Sept slot to this restriction and got bumped to December. Why ? I do not know of any interior design changes that would have a logical impact on 6RD roll out in production ?
There must be some underlying issue. But it seems strange.

Interesting about the deviated stitching, as I noticed the configuration tool no longer says deviated stitching for the turbo, it just notes turbonite accents now.

Are you sure ? I just tried the US configurator on a Turbo sedan and deviated stitching is still very much there ? 6RD 3770$. Same on the swiss configurator.

I'm still seeing the option in the US configurator, but the description only shows pictures of the Turbonite stitching, not the previous text list of what pieces have it.

If I ever find an allocation I am Pondering ordering a MY25 Turbo or just updating to a nicer CPO than my MY20 4S.

For the new MY25.

- who makes the battery? Is it this: https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/202...ent-partners-lithium-ion-batteries-25194.html

- can any Sedan owners post their avg mile/kwh range?

- will ncas adapters work with our charger ports?

- did the matrix led really get enabled for US?
My recommendation, for existing Taycan owners, is to heed the lesson from the first go ‘round as an early adopter. There is no reason to pay premium money for the Taycan (ie MSRP…or god forbid an ADM). Pick the car up after the hype has subsided and dealers are begging you to buy a new or used one.

Turbobite Accent has nothing to do with stitchings; it refers to the trim accents, such as door trims, the steering wheel, etc., which you could also option in Neodyme or the car’s exterior color.

This seems like great advice. Other threads point to the severe depreciation of the first generation Taycan and other EV makers are having to resort to fire-sale lease deals to move inventory due to the fall off in demand/interest in EVs. I am interested in the new Macan EV, but it is hard to justify selling my like-new 2021 4S at a huge discount to purchase a new Macan EV at full retail and then to suffer the same rapid depreciation. I suspect there will be good discounts to be had on the Macan EV in less than a year.

I expect that the Macan economics will be a little tighter from a buyer standpoint because it’s an SUV and those are still a hot commodity for the smooth brained….no offense. Still the “iphonification” of Porsche EVs means that new tech will decimate the value of the old over time.

2025 Taycan PCM has the same hardware but runs updated software and revised route processing. For example, route calculations are much faster since they are done on the cloud server vs. on the PCM itself. We all hope some of it trickles down to the first gen such as battery display on the left tube and driving assistant visuals on the center tube.

Yes, it says `Accents', but you can see pictures of the Turbonite stitching by clicking the information button or `Open 360 View'.
It's confirmed that the deviated stitching is included by at least two people here that received their Turbos.

Porsche fire-sale lease deals?
Of those lease deals, the first $7,500 off of MSRP isn't a loss since PFS pays $7,500 less in taxes to the U.S. Treasury for every leased EV.
The other discounts for lease deals seem to be a relatively small % of MSRP, which must come with such a big margin that a % discount like that still leaves a lot for Porsche and its independent dealerships. Plus the de facto interest rate generates a good margin for PFS (with probably some sort of compensation to the independent dealership carrying out the transaction).
