Powder coated my black RS Spyders wheels to bronze

I had satin black RS Spyders and felt the car was too black and needed a pop of colour. It was a lot cheaper than buying new wheels and I'm loving the results.

My local car wheel specialist won't do the two tone colours, so I was thinking on doing them a solid colour. I was thinking gold but after seeing the bronze, I might change my mind.

The car is going back in December so I would only be doing them to sell them.

I can offer some advice after making a mistake of my own. Whatever swatch you see in the powder coaters showroom, assume that it will be lighter when it's done on the wheel. I had a really hard time choosing my colour and I first chose a colour that was more gold. A pic is attached below.

When I saw how it had turned out, I knew it was too light and too gold, so I had them redo it and chose a bronze colour. Even after selecting a darker shade, it still turned out a bit lighter and although I do love the colour, I wouldn't have minded if I went a bit darker.

I also attached below, the bronze swatches I had to select from. The one I chose was the first one on the left, which is called "Highland Bronze" (from Prismatic Powders). I feared that the one on the right would have been too dark, because it looks that way, but in retrospect, it might have been perfect. I just didn't want to do it a 3rd time lol.

Yes, the rear spoiler is the ducktail from TWL Carbon. The front lip is from Future Design and the rear diffuser is from VR. What a mish mash ?

If you want my unasked-for opinion, leave your vehicle as is. I love your color with stock RS Spyder wheels.

Myself I have had the Satin Black RS Spyder rims on my GTS Sport Turismo repainted in Satin Platinum (I've also replaced the coloured Porsche badge with the new Turbonite badge; my only remaining issue with the exterior are the red brake callipers, which I would really like to replace with black callipers...).

Beauty. That shade of bronze is really interesteing... it almost looks like gunmetal or a black mirror finish. I don't see that brown shade that bronze usually has in your photos.

I don't mind the red calipers. It gives it some pop of colour. I was thinking about powder coating my calipers too but the cost was $2600 whereas the wheels were only $1200 and I wasn't prepared to pay that much for it. There's a company that sells caliper covers for the Taycan. Have you looked into that?

I haven't taken many photos yet, but here's another I took at the same occasion where you can see the rims more clearly (I have since installed rim center caps as well, and I went with matching Satin Platinum with monochrome crest).

I haven't heard about calliper covers before (and no paint shops I've been in touch with will do calliper repaints, as Porsche advices against this), so please do post a link to the company in question if you have that info. (Personally I think the red callipers stand out too much on a black car and tend to distract the eye's attention away from the wheels :–).
