Yep have my install date on 01/03. I’m in the US. Wish it was just OTA. No communication from Porsche about this, found out through the Reddit post and put in a call to my dealer who said it was available for my car.

Do you know the campaign reference for this update

Yep it is only for facelift J.1.2 cars

Doubt it. I collected on 12/08. Call service and ask.

It is possible, as in germany / switzerland they usually ship software / recalls faster than other regions, with USA being slowest / last, as far as I noticed on this forum. But I would send them an email / call anyway, asking never hurt.

Bizarre, because I have all the new features as mentioned in the first post. Like the waze android-auto navigation in the rightmost front dash display, online software update tabs, the route planner with selection of chargers, etc.

production to delivery is a process of about a week here in Europe. Probably the confusion lies there, Johans’ was probably build recently

The car came out of production on oct 22.
Shipped to Belgium and arrived at the dealer on oct 30.
For some reason they needed until nov 12 to get it ready there.
I collected it on nov 14.

The problem will always be that in the eyes of the people, Porsche only updates their cars until they launch a new one...
And that is very bad marketing. People have many "smart"/IoT devices nowadays, and they expect their 1/4 million car to receive updates for longer than their Samsung fridge.

So if they really do stop updating j1, then another Porsche won't happen for me any time soon. As any other Porsche could receive the same treatment.

They need to publicly commit to x number of years of software updates, y number of security updates - similar to how phone manufacturers do. And of course, they need to follow through with it.

Porsche is already kind of dead on the EV market in china, where people are buying cars based on how well it is integrated with other ecosystems, with CPU it offers, what processing power, does it have the latest WIFI, the latest bluetooth? Does it run android or is it OEM OS? Etc.

Porsche needs to learn what new customers want, not just wait for all of their old customers to become cripples.

Part of the problem is Porsche people have to much $ and will continue to buy

Check if you have the 'performance' App? This appeared for me after the software update.

Are you saying the passenger display has those functionalities? Ie extended carplay/android auto?
