I did ask my dealer if he has any more info for me, but no answer yet; and probably won't be any until January earliest ?

My car is in service, so would be a nice Christmas present to get this update
I asked too, I have two other open campaigns, but nothing for PCM

My OPC confirmed there are updates in the pipeline and would be dealer installed, there is a fix for the intermittent fault on electric charge port doors included.

Personally I don't have software envy - 99% of what has been described is the "meh" category for me (sorry). I don't have CarPlay or HUD -standard NAV + Charging Planner works well for me and don't need the extra telemetry data and have managed (somehow) for 4 years without it.

No doubt all of the other 'hidden' stuff is useful to correct a lot of bugs which may be present.

Enjoy the update when it comes!

You mean to tell me that the option to select a specific charger provider, say ionity, and remove porsche destination chargers which never work, is meh? Same for setting a minimum charger speed. For me, that is game changer.

To be honest, any software change is welcome. Especially if it comes with the promise of OTA.

The biggest software change they could do, and everyone would love it, is removing that absolutely stupid touchpad screen, and make it a permanent PCM menu or something usefull.

I'm with @W1NGE on most of this. I either know which chargers I'm going to use on a regular route or I plan them in advance and factor in likely demand so avoid some Ionity chargers over the Christmas break as we all know there will be a queue.
Main interest is bug fixes. Yesterday I had my first experience of stuck charging port doors but learnt how to fix them on this forum before the OPC got back to me saying pop in and the techs will reset them..... and said there is a big software update on the way which includes a fix for them....

Meh to me as I don't need or require it plus should I need to public charge (rarely) the ones I use are all ultra rapid in any case.

Who knows the filtering may find its way to J1.1 given it is a trivial enhancement to the > 50 default just now.

I tend to plan a trip on the app in any case where I can apply this type of kW map filter.

Lower screen is great for navigating the 3D surround amongst other things.

Unsure how often you guys use the on-board navigation and on what trips.
Did 30k km this year and was shocked by the miserable performance of the Charge Planner.

Did choose my Ionity stations before a 2k km (Germany -> Schweden) trip with 800km legs , only to find myself driving two times of the highway and notice at the charger that the planned and available Ionity chargers where the next ramp. Should have charged from 15-80% on this charger to reach my ionity charger navigation checkpoint..

This update basically would reinstate trust in and usefulness of the on board navigation (which is the only one doing pre-heating of the battery for a charger session).
So while I currently rely heavily on Apple Maps and Google Maps (also no Range Manager feature, as no PCM nav), it would be amazing to see the nav-arrows in the HUD/cluster. Even for daily normal work drives, I like to drive with Google Maps for traffic handling, but do not want to hear the nav commands for my normal route -> so it is on mute 99% of the time.

Summary:
Currently, I really regret having a HUD with no useful nav features in my J1 I car.
This upgrade is worth the yearly Connectivity package. (Fixing PCM Nav for long trips and Carplay->HUD for daily traffic avoidance nav)

I do too, but mid-drive the car just decides to recalculate the map/route and it brakes everything ?

Yeah, that's a game changer for those of us who take long road trips. Though I meticulously plan my trips – have these filtering options available would make on-the-trip re-planning much easier than it currently is – where sometimes – the PCM can be determined to route you to completely useless chargers.

Every Porsche garage has a poster, or a sign with words to the effect of ... "70% of all Porsche's ever made are still on the road".

It would be a shame if they didn't carry that cultural history into the future. Software is too important to these cars for them to be in a "frozen" state. The implementation of some filtering logic on the PCM route planning should not be beyond Porsche – despite its deep VW-originating software platform mess that they dug for themselves.

If you add in the chargers in the MyPorsche app as waypoints with the "charging" filter active – it should not do that. It took me a while to figure that out.

My car was in for warranty work and got this update, here are the new performance menus in English. Much of it is meh but the real time consumption and real time overboost power is interesting. The real time consumption will more easily demonstrate how different motorway cruise speeds, headwinds, gradients, temperature etc impact efficiency and the overboost reading will show how SoC impacts max power availability.

I also have a YouTube app now but cannot get it to work.
