Given that a raccoon hit to the front left can cause around ~$7.6k USD in damage to the cooling system and surroundings, even with the so-called Off Road Design package ... personally, I wouldn't dare.
And when you sum that up with potential cost of battery replacement… mmm, sweet. It’s cheaper to get a hard-core off-road suv for these purposes

Yeah indeed, I tried a landrover defender for that and the higher lift and way better approach angle felt much better. Plus it being a rental :).

I've taken my Taycan on dirt/gravel roads in a state park. It did quite well. It was also when I finally discovered a practical use for Porsche Sport Noise - scaring deer away! I've been using it since then whenever traveling rural roads in the dark.

However, I'd never try true off-roading with the Taycan. I remember long ago I got me a brand new 1995 Toyota 4Runner. I was going to a party with some buddies, all dressed up in suites and ties. Decided to take a shortcut through a field, to save a couple of miles on having to drive to the next official highway exit. Then we got stuck in the middle of a field, buried up to the floor. Nobody wanted to get out in their loafers to push. After close to an hour of rocking the car back-and-forth in 4WD diff lock, I managed to free the car just enough to get back onto the highway. Couldn't travel at highway speeds because of the amount of mud in the rims, but we managed to make it to the party. On the way back we had to go to a coin operated carwash to get a power washer to spray away just enough mud to be able to get back on a highway. Never did that again since. :CWL:

You should check the bottom now, for a 3mm dent, as that might result in no more offloading ?

You should check the bottom now, for a 3mm dent, as that might result in no more offloading ?
Haha yeah I read about that before going off road. Didn’t hear any knocks luckily but did chicken out on some other tracks. Also didn’t want to scratch the wheels or paintwork on rocks or trees sticking out

I have a cabin that is on a pretty rough/rocky road and i regularly take the car on fishing trips that require "off-roading." The car does just fine, I just have to take it slow and avoid going over big rocks. Some of my mountain neighbors have very steep, rough driveways and the car cruises right them. The traction control helps to keep from throwing rocks. The off road package option is one of the main reasons I bought this car.

I thought the Off Road Design Package was purely cosmetic?
Although I suspect the original owner of my 4CT was thinking otherwise upon ordering it.
(Definitely can't protect against a critter hit to the left front end.)
