Rotten egg / sulphur smell

Last night there was quite a strong rotten egg / sulphur smell for the first 3 miles of my commute.
It went after a few mins.
There was no car in front of me, so it must have been coming from my 4s CT.
It was perhaps 3 degrees and the pre-heating had been on for 10 mins.
I've had the car 12 months now and noticed it once before (a few months ago).
It was fine today.

Anyone else had similar?
It is anything that should concern me?

Yes… I have this from time to time… and my family can’t stand it. Happens in my other car as well. It’s horrible, however, I haven’t talked to my service advisor yet, so I’m not sure how they will diagnose it. This usually happens when I eat a bunch of beans or broccoli ? ?

Check the cabin air filter, sounds like it might be the source.

You’re right… could be a battery leak. Yikes!

Surely can’t be the battery as they’re all lithium ion rather than lead acid ?

I'll email the dealer.
It's with them again in a couple of weeks for a new windscreen sensor and wireless charger.
Looks like this will be yet another thing for the list.

I thought about giving them a list of things not to check, as it was a shorter list.

What did they charge you to drop the battery and sort it out?

Are you sure it wasn't your wife dropping her guts and denying it?

I didn't throw up, so probably not her

I once arrived at en escooter that was smoking, so I stopped my car and called the fire dept. Smoke came (enormous amounts) out and it smelled like rotten eggs.

On the other hand, it may be mold in your cabin filter too. So I would try to swap it if it's not very new in age or km.

Total cost was $ 5,400. It was covered by my car insurer, luckily.

it was a rat, car is always garage parked, but went out one night and parked in the grass, so suspect he must have crawlde in. Luckily didnt chew on anything. That would have been even more expensive.
