Taycan lets you drive with shorted out battery modules, WTF
For reference, this battery I’m posting below belongs to a car that came driving to my shop with a yellow warning ONLY. The owner was driving it daily and DC charging it.
This car came DRIVING to my shop. All 33 modules were below 1MΩ isolation. Undoubtedly this means there is live voltage on the battery frame while you are driving this car.
Come on Porsche… the BMS has a specific circuit to assess almost in real time the electrical isolation of the battery pack and yet it’s the DCDC that needs to step in and request emergency de-energizing of HV system ?? (and keep in mind this always happens way later than it should)!!!
