I was configuring a few things on my new to me CPO and was surprised some of the software builds were from 2023, I think my old MY20 4S had newer software but I forgot to take a picture before I sold it,

What hardware and software version do the J1.1 owners have?

This is the latest software available for j1.1

Hardware is versioned based on year, no real differences in capability - per my dealer

No, this is not the latest software available for J1.1.
The latest is 4xxx.

My dealer will update my car free of charge, I just asked nicely.

There is no official update campaign.

Currently, officially, 3882 is the latest on j1.1

4xxx is on j1.2, officially.

There does not need to be an update campaign to update modules.
The 4xxx software is available for J1.1 and any dealer can perform the update.

So your statement of "this is the latest software available" is incorrect.

You can ask your dealer to update the car, they might do it for free or charge a fee, but it does not change the fact that the software is available and can be installed by the dealer right now.

I have asked 5 dealers in switzerland to do it :)

Since a update failure can result in the whole PCM being replaced, no dealer wants to take the risk, on their own dime, outside of an official campaign where costs would be covered by Porsche Central.

I'm glad your dealer agreed. It is not the norm.

That does not make the software "unavailable".
A campaign is simply a forced update by Porsche, nothing more nothing less.

The dealer is also not responsible for the PCM. If the car is in warranty (e.g. approved) and the update fails and can not be restarted, then Porsche will replace the PCM, even if it is done outside a campaign. Also a full PCM failure is extremely rare.
So your dealer just doesn't want to do the work.

Please don't state things as fact when you are not sure/don't know, it's very confusing.

So it hasn't been updated yet, hence the "will"? I was going to ask if you noticed any differences or improvements with the new version.

4xxxx is SW mostly used on j1.2. It was already confirmed it would work on j1. Some features will be turned off as those needs HE changes too.

Does someone has the 4xxx version on the J1.1 platform right now?
If yes please show the visually updates if it makes sense for me or others as well.

Appreciate it.

Kind regards, Dirk

4360 is the "latest"; but there are no confirmed cases of any j1.1 getting this version, despite it being compatible - at least as far as I know.

Most useful features is redesigned battery charging limit interface, filters for charging providers, navigation pass through from apple/android to the right dash circle/module.

It is not "turned off" or hacked for J1.2 or anything. It is a proper factory update to the same integration level.

There are separate versions of course J1.1 and J1.2.

I will get my car back in a few weeks and it will have the new version on it. Not sure what there is to say.
