The new range is nice and allot better then the J1.1. My loaner 4S CT I have seen a maximum of 350 miles at 90% in normal mode. Best I have ever seen on my turbo sedan is 265 at 100. With that being said the extra range doesn’t add anything for me personally.

You should plan to have 30% more as everyone is saying in these forums.
So count 450km instead of your current 350km driving the same way.
That’s already good and you could skip a stop for some long distance trips
Agree ?

Had both.
J1.2 better practically in every dept except looks.
Light and surrounds look worse (done for aero, but I prefer the aesthetics of the 1.1). And from the deriver's seat, the 1.2 has an annoying crease running along the top of the wings.

I wonder what kind of deals we’ll start seeing for dealers to move these off the lot.

Is the range on the 25 GTS really that much extra vs the 23 4S to warrant all that extra cost to change?

having driven a J1.2 4S the difference wasn’t enough for me - 30-40 miles real-world on a full charge doesn’t change anything in terms of long journey planning really
My experience with a Taycan (base model) loaner was that it showed 341 miles of range at 92% SoC. Compared to my 2021 4s, that is about 100-110 extra miles on a full charge.

Of course the higher trim levels and different wheel types can cause the max miles to drop, but overall I would anticipate at least an extra 75-80 miles which takes you over 325 for sure.

It's a better car in every way, looks included. You just have to chose different colors ?

Cover for the central arm rest now stays up! Should I say anything more?! ?

I'm pretty sure the 40% depreciation hit on high end EVs is not helping with J1.2 sales.

Porsche does one mid cycle refresh, that's it. Another style change before J2 would be extremely surprising.

I understand that J1.1 front end styling has an iconic quality to it that has struck many minds, but i find that the J1.2 sharper and more subtle design gives the J1.1 a dated look.

The front end of the .2 is something that you buy the car in spite of…where as the front of the .1 was a big part of the appeal. *sigh*. Hopefully the balance between the designers and the engineers will yield a better outcome for the next gen….

The softening of the .2 front-end styling is probably responsible for much of the increased range - can't have everything.

There were some comparisons done a while back... Bigger battery and wheels and tyres were the biggies.

If you look back through the various Porsche models over decades, you’ll note that they have made very few notable aesthetic concessions in favor of engineering outcomes….
