What then is WSH4 for High Voltage Battery Control Unit................... No recall, Triangle, ARB, notifications etc

I got a letter (with signature required) last Thursday to my home in France. Our friends collected it and scanned it.
The WRS0 update was available but we are in Stockholm just now. Phoned the local Porsche Centre Friday and now waiting to get the update installed. Great service by Porsche Center Danderyd, which by the way are the same that repaired two modules for me 2 years ago!

I did not get any advice in the app nor in the car about the update. I have a feeling my car does not work with OTA!
Let’s see what changes there will be?!

At my last service in May this year they updated the OTA module - I assume this was to prepare for the WRS0 update which I then got OTA a few weeks back. If your car have not had that dealer update that might be why it's not OTA for you.

I did ask the service guys if there was any recalls, updates etc before we left in July. But there was nothing on their system then they said?

Hmm - Might depend on the model year or something. I have this entry in my service history:

Well….. that did not go to plan with the update at Porsche Center.

My car refuses to communicate with their PIWIS systems. They tried 4 different computers, but none of them would get any information or contact with my car. They spent about 90 minutes trying but had to give up! That is surprising.

Porsche Center here i Stockholm were extremely nice though and managed to make an appointment for next Wednesday to investigate the failure and find a solution. At the moment they have no idea on what is wrong with the communication?

There is nothing at all indicated as a problem in the car. No fault messages, everything working as normal, all functions working as normal and car drives and charges just fine.

Seems like it just wants to be left totally alone??

Probably whatever handles any sort of communication / IO in the car is broken.

Mine didn’t ping and installed without a success notification. I saw there was an update when I was leaving the car, it was stated in the goodbye notification and saw it by accident. Maybe you already got it?

The OTA comms module update earlier this year may have been an enabler for the current OTA battery monitoring update.
If your last OTA update was 2021 you may be missing a prerequisite, which could mean a dealer visit is needed - but they’re best placed to advise, I’m just speculating

Others here may remember if other OTA updates have occurred 2021 -2024.

My car is also MY20 and I am in the same boat here. No updates OTA since a very long time.

I got a letter asking me to contact a dealer for the WRS0 upgrade. Visit Done but update did not work since they could not communicate with the car at all. Going back next Tuesday for trying to trace the fault in any module or whatever. They did have another two cars this week with the same behaviour.
