Not sure if this is against the rules but here goes nothing. I own a company called Gtechniq - figured that an auto forum would be a great place to poll on this. - Text from outbound comms pasted below. NB we can extend the offer on the free detail pretty much globally as we have representation in about 60 countries.

We’re in the final stages of launching an exciting new ceramic coating at Gtechniq, and we need your help with one last (but crucial) detail. The name!

This product is a super easy-to-apply ceramic coating that works outdoors and can be used on all exterior surfaces, including glass. It’s designed for car owners who’ve heard about ceramic coatings but have been put off by the idea that they’re tricky or time-consuming to apply.

Here’s what makes it special:

  • Effortless application – no garage or special tools needed
  • All-surface compatibility – paint, trim, glass, wheels, and more
  • Durability – lasts up to 12 months on a daily driver
  • Slick, glossy finish with strong water beading
  • Swirl resistance that rivals more complex multi-layer coatings
Think of it as the “wash-and-go” of ceramic coatings; simple, effective, and perfect for those who want great results without the hassle.

We’re not aiming for Halfords/Autozone/Pep Boys shelves with this one, so the name doesn’t need to scream “mass market”, but it should be clear, memorable, and instantly understandable as a ceramic coating.

Got a great name idea that’s not on the list?
If we choose yours, we’ll credit you with a full detail worth £1,500, redeemable anywhere in the UK.

Playing on the word Ceramic seems wasteful, I'm sure you will use that in a descriptor and the GTechniq branding will be on it also...

There are so many ceramic products now, that you’ll just be another me-too. I would stay away from ceramic in the name and figure out some other discriminator.

Love your products, i had the CS Ultra on my 2021 4S and it held very well over the year i had the car and total of 3 years since the original owner installed it.
I also use your tire shine, it's very thin and easy to apply!

For the new product, i would combine two of the options - Total Ceramiq, looking forward testing it on my new car.

Great company and products! This new product sounds similar to PA Cosmic Spritz and Kamikaze Overcoat (which I personally use). I think a suitable name would be:

Crystal Coat

From Perplexity:
“Crystal Coat” is a strong and appealing product name that effectively communicates premium protection and clarity—qualities associated with high-end ceramic coatings. The term “Crystal” suggests a glass-like, glossy finish and a sense of transparency or purity, while “Coat” clearly denotes a protective layer. The name fits well with your product’s benefits of effortless application, all-surface compatibility, and durability.
However, when considering “Crystal Coat” for Gtechniq, a few factors are worth noting:
• Brand Alignment: Gtechniq currently uses similar terminology with products like “Crystal Serum Light” and “C2 Liquid Crystal.” While “Crystal Coat” maintains this family branding, it is distinct enough not to overlap directly with existing product names.
• Market Fit: The name “Crystal Coat” clearly communicates both ceramic protection (via the “Coat“) and a showroom finish (“Crystal”). For consumers seeking an easy, professional result, this name is approachable and memorable.
• Clarity for Beginners: The simplicity of “Crystal Coat” resonates with a mainstream audience—especially those unfamiliar with technical detailing jargon—without sounding intimidating or overly complex.
In summary, “Crystal Coat” is a highly suitable choice for this type of product. It aligns with the features you described and with Gtechniq’s overall brand identity, offering strong consumer appeal and clear market messaging.

thanks for all the input so far and kind words about our products.

@mander2129 - you can blame us for the multitude of ceramic products - we started the whole process 25 years ago!

still mulling but need to crack on as the kit contents are with our packaging company doing design work!
