What would you like to see in a Taycan refresh (SSP Sport / J2)

I'm definitely in the minority, but I actually hope they keep the packaging similar to how it is. Yes, cargo space and legroom may suffer, but expanding all of this could result in a "jellybeanification" of the overall shape of the car like the Mercedes EQ series (the worst offender of this), model 3, and Lucid Air (not quite as bad).

The taycan is a uniquely attractive car in this segment, precisely because it sacrifices some interior space for aesthetics.

Also I sincerely hope they don't pivot toward self-driving. The point of the car is to enjoy the drive as the actual driver.

What you are describing would have a few less doors I believe

i wish mine had these changes: (1) 2-door, no backseat at all, (2) improved acceleration above 80mph, can’t stand being put with Cayennes on track days, (3) lighter weight, (4) 400 mile range would be nice…since it’s just SW, better range vs performance settings, (5) use “turbo” only for cars with turbos, (6) make the app more like Tesla, (7) more buttons/knobs, (8) fewer screens, (9) better cameras + sentry/dash cam modes, (10) reliability.

I'm quite happy with the car as is - warts and all. The packaging is inferior to Tesla and Lucid (who gets an insane amount, but the driving experience is leaps and bounds ahead. A J2 version should maintain the four door body style (if you want a coupe, buy the upcoming EV Cayman / Boxster), and obviously update the hardware and software stack. Using a new architecture will reduce wiring, reduce module count and complexity, and allow for OTA updates like other pure-EV manufacturers. Resist the urge to soften the styling further, lest every car look like a Mercedes EQ jellybean. Keep Active Ride and RAS and maintain focus on making the sporty version in this segment.

Even thought I bought this car primarily because I needed a good looking, 4 door, drivers car, a 2 door version would drive and look phenomenal.

I hope they keep a similar shape but they shuffle internals around so we get better packaging

I'd like to see all the European options come to North America. That means a standard all-metal roof on Turismo models (i.e., glass roof an add-on option). And other things you can get on other 2025 Porsches (Americans can get all-metal roofs still in Cayennes) that you can't get in the new Taycan that I want: (1) dual sun visors for both front seats (Cayenne); (2) heated front windshield (all Cayennes, Macans); (3) manual charge-port doors (Macan EV, but not in the new Taycans, which only give electronic doors); (4) regular door handles (all other Porsches now besides Taycan); (5) better center console storage (all Cayennes, Macans now); (6) manual front air vents (all other Porsches now); (7) switches for climate controls (all other Porsches now); (8) dials for both volume/audio-off-on and zooming in on the map (Macan EV). The other thing I'd like is a frunk shaped to hold a full-size spare wheel/tire (as an option for those of us who'd like this). Finally, if Porsche is going to put in NACS ports, they should keep CCS ports on the opposite side of the car. So all my requests are for things that Porsche already has on other vehicles -- therefore reasonable.

• Make it ~3 inches less wide. Make the Panamera be the big 4 door sedan, Taycan be the small 4 door sedan. A bit like Cayenne vs Macan.
• Remove the center tunnel between the rear seats.
• Asethetics still more important than the egg-shaped EVs these days. So keep the looks!
• Can tolerate shorter range for lighter car.
• More regenerative braking power
• Touchpad space should have been air conditioner's control, instead of having to use the main screen for the air flow settings. So everything cabin heating/cooling related should be on the lower screen.
• More configurable buttons. Configurable buttons should also do multiple actions instead of just 1 thing.
• Remove the 10mph limit for surround view. Or make it like 20mph limit. Need that for England's 6.5ft wide roads.

I agree with Chun
Rimac solid state battery of 100kwh that can charge in 6,5 minutes and weight less and is smaller.
So lighter car, most space for the back feet or if we can slide the feet under the front seat, same look as now and off course better software with one big cpu that can be updated in WiFi as well as 5G.
