Same experience. It feels like I'm sitting up against a steel rod in a chair that is just too narrow. In my previous car I could mostly solve it with readjustments, but in my new MY2025 it's always there.

Asking my dealer for a solution. Fingers crossed.
Let me know if you can find a solution with the dealer

I wonder if there are multiple seats in the Taycan and if they changed the form factor?
My dealer didn’t mention any changes. To me, the bottom of the seat feels too narrow, even with the bolsters fully open. The worst part is that the discomfort only starts after 15–20 minutes of driving, so it’s hard to notice just by sitting in the car for a few minutes of trying. It’s like wearing a shoe that doesn’t fit perfectly. it only starts to hurt after you’ve been walking in it for a while

I found during the test drive I was riding on only one side of the seat at a time. :).

I love the 18 way seats
Perfect for me
I am 6ft / 1m 83cm
72kg/150lb/11 stone 3 lb
BMI 21
This says it all
I am more Jenson Button that Nigel Mansell
You have to be a streak to love Taycan/911/Boxman 18 ways - They are the sports cars
Taycan is heavy but thats because its EV
Its WAY more of a sports car than a Panacruiser

18 ways in larger cruiser cars are for larger cruiser drivers

As far as a solution is concerned its just easier to sell the car with 18s
and buy one with 14s - You will take a kicking but your dealer should help

ALWAYS TRY BEFORE YOU BUY

Having said all that I am 60 at Christmas and my next Porsche will have 14 ways with massage
More long road trips than track days planned

Unfortunately, it’s a brand-new car with many options, so selling it now would mean losing a lot of money. On top of that, we have special taxes in my country, which basically doubles the price. A Panamera would cost almost three times as much because of its big engine. My only real options are electric cars, and at this point, I can’t think of anything other than the Taycan. I just need to find a way to make it work

Get the seats aftermarket and swap them. You will need help with that, and you will have to pay for the help, but it's very much possible.

Or as you are already trying to do - modify the existing seats.

Yea first thing will be the seat cushion. I will post pictures when its done. About the aftermarket seats, i need to make a research about it. It would be the next step though

Different strokes.......................I am shorter 5'6", and 170 lbs................but just turned 74. I have 18 ways on my 2021 4S and wouldn't have it any other way, but that is just me. I like the way that the bolsters fill up on entry and give me a 'locked in' feeling. Yes, entry and exit are more on the 911 level, but for me the 18 ways enhance the cornering fun. There may come a day.......................but not today. 😭

Hello,
personally I am 177 cm for 74 kg but despite my size I find the seat much too high despite the adjustment at the lowest of course. my dealer tells me that it is ´normal ´ and I have of course calibration .... maybe a habit of the 911? On the other hand, the passenger seat goes down much lower. Do you have this impression? See you soon

My 2 pennies… Invest in a personal trainer and get more fit!
I have a bad back and when I first got the 18way seats in 2023 I almost struggled to get out the car. I knew it wasn’t the seats fault… 3 years later of weekly physio and exercise I have no trouble with then18way… and I would not have comfort seats… the look just doesn’t work for me…

Thank you for your feedback ´ I don't feel any discomfort even on a long distance I would even say on the contrary compared to my old 911/991. It's a matter of habit but I like this feeling of being really lower see as cashed. which seems paradoxical to me because the passenger seat goes down much lower.

I'm 5' 9" and 165 lbs with no complaints regarding 18 ways in both the Taycan and GT4.
Wasn't aware there were any differences between models other than covering material, seems to be thicker leather in my standard interior Taycan.
Can't compare directly anymore because I swapped them out in the GT4 for Recaros.

I'll note that the adaptive 18 way bolsters open up when the Taycan is switched off, tighten up to the set position when started, and tighten up further under the following WBA (warn and brake assist) conditions;
During emergency braking initiated by the driver from a speed of approx. 30 km/h (20 mph)
During an automatic brake intervention initiated by the vehicle
