Absurd Parts Prices

I drive a Cross Turismo and I lost the two things that are holding the trunk cover.

$508 to replace them as it needs the full trim. This is stupid.

Are you a DIY guy? Is your car a CPO or under warranty? You can check Pelican Parts or FCPeuro and see if they have those parts and then do it yourself.

I always order parts through suncoast. Stealerships mark them up, a lot.

agreed. Suncoast is not even the cheapest. I use sites like this.

Every dealership runs a site like the above and and cross shop across multiple ones.

I have understanding that we need to pay higher prices for Porsche parts. After all, Porsche cars are not for eveyone. But still, it's one thing to pay a "porsche premium", and another thing to be ripped off. Not even the richest billionaires like to be ripped off!

Guys, you can get those parts separate, but not from Porsche.
I had the same problem on my Turbo S CT where one side was broken.

I went to a larger auto store and just browsed the universal stuff they had available and found something that fit perfectly.

The only thing I had to do was slightly cut one edge of the head, as it was about 1mm bigger and the cover hook didn't want to fit over it, but unless you inspected it super close, you would never be able to tell.

From the VAG parts bin, if you can get measurements for 1M6867574A, then it might fit:
