Negotiate it down.

On my first Taycan I supplied my own wiper blades and pollen filter from Suncoast, and asked them to test the fluid, only replacing it it needed it. It didn't. Cost me under $300.

On the second I installed my own pollen filter and wiper blades, reasoning that with the large depreciation hit I'd already taken, spending more money on the car was good money after bad.

Of course then I got stupid and bought another new Taycan, so what the hell do I know.
yeah I look forward to telling the service rep I already replaced the filter. It is due for some software related recalls so I'll take it in and probably get the inspections for free as this dealer is pretty reasonable and I've been a loyal customer to the brand.

Do the blades and tire goo yourself first too. Very easy to do.

Thanks everyone! I replaced the filter on my own and if there was a "proud of myself" emoji I'd splash it across this post. Here is a pic of what I removed. I am at 40K miles. I assume it was replaced by Porsche before during regular maintenance? Still, this is a lot of yuk and glad I did it. My back is not so sure!

Good one, proud of you. I hope you ordered the PureFlow I recommended. Also, lesson to everyone not to wait 2 years or 20k miles and replace it yourself every year or no more than 10k miles, or you are breathing this and OEM filter is so cheap that it will be poisoning you with mold sooner than you think. PureFlow has 4 layers including anti-microbial and just 10x better if you compare it to OEM by physical construction alone. OEM is like a piece of cheap toilet paper.
