My Taycan cane with Goodyear Eagle FI Assymetric 5’s. 265/35R21 NF0

`Have so say I have not been impressed with them in that I have had several spontaneous flats where the inner side wall has seperated with the road surface over a few inches.

TO be fair this could be poor road quality. I have no way of knowing. However my inner intuition suggests its time to change brand.

Any thoughts? Would you only stick to NF0 tyres?

Is there a consensus best use for long tread life even for an all season tire. 21 inch. I’d even sacrifice less performance. I have a GTS on order and checked all season 21s. I’m curious what it will come with. I’m just over summer tires and the short lifespan

I run the electric p zeros now.

They last around 11-12k at most.
I have the original P-Zeros which were standard on my 2021 Taycan RWD. They have been lasting me around 17K. Don’t think I could push them to 20K.
I thought the PZero Electric would last more miles but it sounds like it’s less.
What did you get out of the normal P-Zeros. I have 21s…

I think there are the only two options right now:

1) Continental ProContact RX(NF0)
2) Goodyear Eagle Touring (NF1)

Looks like the Continental has the best treadwear.

My dealer suggests the P-Zero Electric or the P-Zero for my 21s.

Pirelli P Zero & P-Zero Electric are two other options. The last set my dealer installed on my Taycan 2021 RWD CPO were the 21” Pirelli PZeros but I’m likely going to switch to the PZero electric later this year.

The Continental RX is lasting about 14k, I have 4/32nds left and trending towards 14k.

IMO, a lot of this is related to consumer expectations.

The Taycan is a sports sedan/SUV type vehicle. I have owned these classes of vehicles for the last 16 years. All the tires lasts only about 12k-20k in these classes of cars. A lot of it has to do with the Taycan weight (5000lbs), and power distribution, and given the wheel specs, the tire manufacturers only provide low treadwear sporty tires.

Overall a 300+ treadwear is what you're looking for, at the sacrifice of performance. I'm actually going the other way. Once my RX tires are done, I'm moving to a summer tire PS4S. (I have dedicated winters )

@CoolDadLo asked about all season tires that might come with his ordered GTS (he wanted to move from summer tires due to treadwear). In the US it looks like only the two tires I linked are options.

Agreed. Do we know which tires come on the 2026 models or new allocations or is it a tossup between the two options listed above?. I use Michelin pilot sport 4S tires, albeit on my SUV but still those puppies go quickly for 120 mile daily commute and I wanna try out some all seasons.

The only the good thing is that those tires are bigger and wider and cost more so , anything I use for the Taycan will be cheaper and a financial win in my book!

I’ve got 13K on my Pzeros with 4/32nds left so I’m assuming I’ll get to 17K most likely by the time I get to 2/32nds by year end or Q1/27.

I run Pirelli P-Zero NFO ELECT on my 21" wheels.

I would be concerned about my insurance status if not running a tyre that is specifically for use in Electric cars, due to their weight.
