My 2020 Taycan 4S has completed six or so successful Supercharging sessions so far. The most recent was a quick splash-and-dash at the V4 station in Meadville, Pa.: www.tesla.com/findus/location/supercharger/34566

I’ve charged both at MagicDock-equipped Superchargers and at Superchargers open to other EVs using Porsche’s NACS-to-CCS adapter. One thing to watch for: make sure you attach the Porsche adapter to the Tesla charging handle before connecting it to the Taycan.

Not in USA, but here in Switzerland, it’s a 1/3 chance for the charging to start at 250kw Tesla chargers specifically. It’s quite frustrating.

I have also had red ring of death errors several times from Tesla 250ke chargers specifically - and porsche road assistance has told me it common and a 12V battery reset will fix it (locking car for 10 mins and going away with the key).

So porsche definitely knows there’s something going on with these chargers.

It could be 2020 specific maybe, who knows.

I have been avoiding 250ke tesla chargers in the last year or two, as they were always a pain, and had assumed they have fixed it since - I guess not.

Normal 150kw Tesla chargers work more reliably, and never got ring of death. However, sometimes they are very slow to initialize - 60sec + , and the taycan times out the charging sessions and makes the button red - making you restart the whole god damn process.

2020 cars specifically don’t have the capacity to plug & charge, and therefore the charging certificate might not be getting updated OTA for whatever reason… porsche style of software management. So it could be just that - and maybe your dealer could update your charging certificate

I was able to charge my 2020 Turbo at a Tesla Supercharger site about 2 weeks ago. I do have the Porsche adapter and had previously set up my account on the Tesla app. It worked great. 30% to 85% in 23 min.

Hello,
I own a late 2020 model and have had no problems on the Tesla network.

Personally, since I'm in France, I use the DKV card, and it's 100% compatible with all charging stations and operators.
It far surpasses all other cards. It's a true Swiss Army knife. See you soon.

Among the four Superchargers you've tried (without success), were any MagicDock-equipped? The CCS adapter is built into the Tesla chargers at those stations. Maybe your Porsche NACS-to-CCS adapter is a dud?

Here's a North American map of MagicDock Superchargers. https://www.plugshare.com/map/tesla-ccs-locations

I have a 2021 Taycan and have charged multiple times at Telsa without any issues. I don't need to use the Tesla app -- when I plug in the car, the Porsche app recognizes the Tesla station and begins charging. Aside from checking to make sure the location is open to non-Tesla, I can't think of anything else. Sorry you're having trouble!
Oh! I have a 2021, too, but always have to use the Tesla app. Is this new, or did I miss a switch to flip? April was the last time I charged on a Tesla in California.

I'll have to try this for my next road trip at the end of the month.

It was a recent thing that started happening. I didn't do anything to enable it -- although I do have a credit card on file with the Porsche app, which probably is a pre-requisite
