Highly doubt, at that point the surface would already be peeling off and they wouldn't let you drive off the lot without cancelling your warranty.My rotors are showing what appear to be rust streaks
I wonder if you could take some pictures. If you have rust on the carbide coated brake rotor surface then you are in the carbide coating cracking/peeling camp as others experienced. I am closely monitoring mine and so far I do see some fine lines as cracks but no peeling of flaking. I would put up a big fight if I am faced with rotor replacement ever.I have a 2020 4S with PSCB brakes and about 45k miles.
My rotors are showing what appear to be rust streaks, and the Porsche tech has indicated that at the end of 6 years, in September, I will need to replace pads and rotors....big $$$$
I am not aware of an recalls or QC issues but would love to find some.
