Possible to avoid the "minimum charge" setting?

My peak electricity rate is from 3pm to midnight. I would like to not charge at this time because the electricity is very expensive!

However, when I plug my vehicle, it will always start charging and reach the minimum charge defined of 25% in the profiles. Is there a way to avoid this?

None via the car’s UI. If you use an EVSE that has scheduling capabilities you can control it that way. Another example of Porsche’s product managers / software developers not understanding how customers use their products.

Has anyone actually tried this (disabling any/all profiles) and then plugged in with the SOC < 25%? Does the car still charge to 25% (as if the general profile isn't actually disabled)? This is my current configuration (no enabled profiles, only timers) and I think the one time I plugged in with SOC < 25% it started charging immediately...

A couple of points.

1. Porsche engineering and marketing did a VERY poor job of specifying/coding control of car charging.
2. Look for a video on how to properly setup timers & Profiles, you really should have both. The minimum charging parameter is setup in Profiles.
3. I have my minimum charge setup at %30 for weekdays and 40% on weekends. I am frugal but it is silly to worry about a few $ now and again. If you plugin with %10 it only charges up to the minimum you set and then stops, that isn't much. The last thing you want is to run your batteries down and then need to drive somewhere and not have enough charge to do it easily.

Yes. I have profiles disabled and only use timers for charging at home. When plugging in at the end of the day the car does not start charging immediately. Every morning my car is at my specified SOC. My mon-fri setting is 7:30am @ 80%. Works great and charges off-peak times.

I keep an eye on my electricity provider account and it recently shows a power usage bump at 12, 3 & 6am. Costing me ~$0.33 per day.

I wasn't able to replicate this behavior.

1. If Timer and Profile is disabled, the car will start charging as soon as I plug it.
2. If Timer is disabled and Profile is enabled to charge the car at minimum 25% and specific hours, the car will start charging as soon as I plug it to reach 25% and will then continue to charge to 100%.
3. If Timer & Profiles are enabled, the car will start charging as soon as I plug it to reach 25%, will then stop and continue to charge until the limit / time set in Timer.

I have a different experience. With Profiles disabled and Timer enabled to charge battery at 25% for Tuesday 10am, my Taycan starts the charging right away (Friday evening...).

I tried this today. Plugged in at 24% with a timer. The car immediately started charging. Added the profile back and it stopped at 25%.

What time of the day was it? With timers the car will charge at the most efficient grid time and when rates are lower/lowest.

raise the minimum to 80% then the car will charge until it hits 80%. the nomenclature is backwards, minimum is really maximum
