What is this problem? 19.2 kw onboard charger conflict?
nobody seems to be able to figure it out, EA says that the car is not communicating with their chargers and porsche says that it is an EA issue, I think that it is a bit of both.
the 19.2 charger causes some sort of conflict, I do not have plug and charge capabilities, it was disabled via software by porsche and I think the communication issues is an offshoot of that problem. the dealership doesn't know what to do and the mothership at PCNA and germany are of no assistance. I am peeved because it was an $1800 option that has baked in issues that makes the car almost useless for road trips because of the reliability concerns. who wants to get stuck in BFE unable to charge?

Looks pretty similar. AMB5, mine also references WMG4 for the touchless reference on yours? For those on the thread mine contains the following:
1)WMG4 reprogramming 22KW OBC , Touchless 00P0ZZ
2) WMG4 reprogramming 22KW OBC Scope1 07P0Z01
3) AMB5 Reprogramming power elec scope 5 07P0Z

On August 9th, I took my porsche to the dealer to get the recall software update installed. Two weeks later, I still cannot fast charge my Taycan 4s using electrify america, big problem. Anyone else with my year and model with the recall software update having charging problems?
Update: So, the fast charging issue is limited so far to Electrify America. I am waiting on a SW update from PORSCHE. I will advise once I receive it, it's installed, and tested.

mine charges fine post software update - it’s either your local EA stations or your vehicle - have you tried charging at EVGo or ChargePoint or some other fastDC charger?
EVGO 50 kw works.

I will update thread. It is supposed to be very soon. I have threatened to invoke lemon laws if the problem is not resolved by Sept 1.

I do not know what state that you are in but invoking the lemon laws isn't especially easy. have you read the arbitration folder that was part of your books given to you at delivery?

I thought I read on this forum that is was a certificate issue where an incorrect security certificate is embedded in the charger and so it can't communicate properly with the EA chargers. I also thought I read on here that you can still initiate the charge from the Porsche Connect app. It seemed my Porsche rep said the same thing. I'm still hoping this is resolved on the 2022 models.

Is this no charging at all or no 275kw charging?

I cannot comment on any sort of certificate issues and once the fault is triggered it will not communicate with the EA charger regardless of which one that you choose to try. I have the Porsche app, the NA app and the EA ap on a separate account.

once you see this on the charger's display you are toast at that unit

Porsche has been working hard on this issue for a few weeks. I provided them with a detailed log of my charging problems going back several months, and they were able to reproduce the issue with a similarly equipped vehicle at several of the same chargers. It is related to the 19.2kW on-board charger and specific EA chargers. My car is at the dealer now getting a "beta" software update that should fix the issue.

There are apparently 3 different EA charger types and the new Signets are the problem, which likely explains much of the intermittency people have seen. It is supposedly unrelated to the P&C certificate issue.

I will report back once I have the results of the update.

Could you provide which dealership because my dealership could not replicate the issue on our local EA charger. I could alert them to whatever fix that you’re having done.

It is Porsche NA. It is still early so I would hold tight for now. Once they have been able to validate the fix I'm sure it will be released to your dealer.

EA are the most unreliable, in my experience. Problems are so frequent that I would suggest trying another EA first before concluding its the car's software.
