Driving at the Algarve through Albufeira having a guy rolling his arm to get me to "rev up", because he'd like to hear the V8 scream.

Maybe he just loves the electric sports sound!

Best reaction for me, about two months ago, random alcohol and drug breath testing stop at night after a late night coming back home from work. The police officer got me to blow into the straw, I was of course clear, and as he waved me through he said “Nice car”, I said “Thanks” and that was it lol.

We recently purchased and drove our 2025 Carmine Red Taycan 4S 1,000 miles back to our home in Colorado. The drive back brought plenty of enthusiastic thumbs-ups and some entertaining comments:

1. My cute blonde wife—60 years old but easily mistaken for 40—was driving when a beautiful blue Dodge Viper convertible pulled alongside us on the interstate. The driver gave her an enthusiastic thumbs-up! We drove together for several miles before he eventually turned off.
2. We stopped at a small convenience store for refreshments. On our way out, the thirty-something female clerk asked, “Could you settle a bet for my co-worker and I, Is that a Ferrari or something else?”
   I answered, “It’s a Porsche Taycan.” She replied, "wow, it is certainly beautiful!"
3. We made it home to Colorado without incident—what a drive in a fantastic car! That Friday night, we took or "Red T" on an inaugural run up one of our favorite twisty canyon roads to a little mountain tavern. Our son and his family came along in our EQE 500 SUV, making six of us altogether. Our son went inside to see if they could accommodate our group. While the waiter was checking, someone announced loudly, “Hey, everyone—there’s a Ferrari in the parking lot!”

Zero reactions where I live, fortunately. I don't like the attention.

Well we might not be flashy enough to receive much attention in the Bahnhofff Strasse/Rue du Rhone slow drive by, but on the autoroute surely you're getting the attention of builders vans, M2's, GTI's, Cupras and in my case French registered Renault Twingos.
They seem to express their appreciation (at whatever legal speed you are driving) by getting 2 metres up your a$$ and indicating left.
Mostly I'm taking the high ground and pulling over, (but not always!)

Two memorable interactions:

1. On my drive home from car pick up, pulled over in rural Montana by local police for speeding. Runs temp out of state plates, registration, thinking it's stolen... Then comes back and asks "why does the color on registration say gray when the car is white?"

2. On a Sierra mountain interstate (Level 2 - AWD or chains) snow chain control check, DOT asks "they didn't happen to make these in AWD did they?" - Reply: "This one is AWD with 3 peak mountain snowflake rated tires (Blizzak)"

Crowd pleaser, best looking non-exotic car.

Comparing driving a GT3 (or BMW M cars), those enthusiast cars are best at attracting dudes, old dude, young dudes. I have noticed that Taycan catch the eye of females (finally! Though it's too late bc I've been married for 20 years)

The best sausage magnet hands down is a GT-R

Frequent compliments in the Chicagoland area. Keep in mind Chicago is not Taycan territory and it is unusual to the eye.

Honestly I get no comments or attention whatsoever and I’m fine with that.

My first Boxster in 98 garnered way too much attention as a new/unusual car for the time.

It’s not why I buy these things.

Yeah nobody really cares!

Where I live (and mostly drive around) the Taycan is quite common—on one occasion I counted to five(!) additional Taycans parked in the same area at my local small shopping center…

After over two years of ownership, only one person so far has approached me to comment on the car, and it was a slightly older woman who said she thought the Taycan looked fantastic and also wanted to buy one!

None when driving, or at least I don't notice any of it ...
Taycans are somewhat common in my area.
Oddly enough, when I have a visual on the car while it's parked somewhere, I do see some people pointing at it and even take a look at the interior.
