It is not going to raise, but every exposed seam like this will collect a little dirt. I also believe it really can't be fixed. Agree with @RAHRCR that the top shops do it better (I don't have one of those close enough to me to justify the trip) and you're less likely to notice the dirt because...
I would say that it is pretty good! That is indeed a "professional" price, as well.
If you are willing to go back and have him touch things up, I would consider the areas in the following shots, as those have some potential to pull up over time.
For the following, u could have them fix it...
Yuck. I was wondering if it would be a connector that could be used with other brands. Too bad. I wonder if the cable could be cut and adapted to a standard connector.
Most people get smaller wheels for their snow tires; the view is that you are changing to snow tires for better traction, and you’ll get better traction with smaller wheels. But what you want is definitely possible, as it has been done by many (probably not the majority, however).
Sorry for the potentially ignorant question, but I managed to acquire a set of new 19" wheels for my winter tires, and I neglected to order center caps. I am wondering if the center caps from the 20" are the same size. It looks like it, but before I start the process it would be nice to know...
Amazing different people's reactions to trim; I originally did not want to get the power charging port door specifically because the black trim element to me ruined the clean lines of the car. I optioned it anyway because of the convenience, but I never once thought that it looked better than...
They are definitely lower. When we ordered my wife's eTRon S, the ADM was $12K. When it arrived, we were able to get them to drop it to $3K and add in AudiCare.
A friend on the West Coast also told me his ADM on the same vehicle was $25k, which is down from $50k about six months ago.
I have an Aerovironment EVSE-RS that I have used for three EVs with no issues. I now have two EVs, so I upgraded to a dual station. So I now have no use for my trusty EVSE. Specs:
NEMA 6-50 plug
32 amp output
Includes a NEMA 6-50 to 14-50 adapter
Includes the wall mounting plate
Owners Manual...
So, I think UR referring to the 19" Taycan Aero wheels and saying you normally have the 19" Taycan S Aero wheels? If so, I agree that these are quite nice looking for "base" wheels. I also think it is really a good idea to have additional wheels for winter tires, the smaller the better.
Wheels are a source of aerodynamic drag, so the ideal wheel for EV range purposes is a small flat plate. Very few people like the way that looks, so you get wheels like these that take an open wheel design and subtly create as much of the benefits of the plate as possible.
I switch to snow tires mounted on smaller wheels. My car has summers on 20" Taycan Turbo Aero, and winters on 19" Taycan S Aero Wheels. Nice thing about this is that winter grip is slightly better with the smaller tires, the tires themselves are cheaper, and the slight improvement in range that...
Really? I had no idea, as I have never purchased them. It would be easy to circumvent, so I'm not sure what the point of trying to enforce would be. But at least they're trying.
It is awesome looking indeed. I remember reading somewhere on the forum in the early days that the design would have increased the weight of the vehicle considerably, reducing range by as much as 20% and significantly increasing insurance premiums. Impractical as a result.
Very curious. Definitely not seeing anything like this across the pond here in NY.
Where is the condensation? On the inside or the outside? Near the front or on the whole window?
