it’s because you didn’t yet have the problem.
In this forum there is plenty of discussion about the reliability of the keyless entry.
It all starts with inconsistency. It doesn’t unlock automatically when you approach the car with the key in your pocket. Sometimes works other not untill you...
Car key is 12 mt distance and in a faraday box Porsche kindly bought for Me. No luck with that either. It was just painful… they couldn’t find solution…the only answer was “ it’s a well known issue” so far there is no solution… we have been advised by Porsche to replace batteries free of...
Good for you!
Even at the dealer when you spec the keyless entry… they suggest to avoid it…
Had my batteries replaced every 2 weeks… porsche was sending home free batteries for replacement😂.
What was more frustrating was the key randomly would not connect to the car. It was reprogrammed several...
Not comparable. One is a little quirky thing designed for urban life, an old EV platform model.
The Taycan was designed for performance, 800v, thermal precision, safety at high power levels.
The battery is also structural to the rigidity of the chassis. The fact that Porsches never offered...
It saves you a big headache!
My only trouble with Jen one was the keyless entry. Never works as it should and drains th car key battery in weeks…
So much better now without it… old but gold buttons to open and close the car… when it is required and back in control.
Hi Folks,
Swopped my summer tyres to winter tyres to gen 1.2.
I had this set of winter tyres on my Jen 1.
Tpms have not been recognised.
Is there anything I need to do when swopping tyres or it should pick the signal automatically? Can’t remember for sure from my previous Taycan.
TPMs have...
I’m really looking forward to seeing more of this!
From an engineering perspective, the difference between the Taycan Turbo and a 4S isn’t all that dramatic—especially compared to what we’re used to with ICE cars.
My guess is that a big part of the “Turbo” premium comes down to marketing.
On...
Tonight I sat in the car and shone my phone’s light at the rearview mirror. It dimmed the rearview and the side mirrors, so I know the auto-dimming works. But during the day a car behind me used high beams and the dimming didn’t kick in.
I had the dimming on my 2023 Taycan, it seems it is not in my new 2025 gen 1.2.
Is there a way to activate it?
there is no switch to manually dimming the mirror either…
Hi folks!
500 miles on my gen 1.2 and today I have seen the first real improvement over gen 1.1.
This is 100 miles on a known road 80% motorway at 68/72 steady mph in range mode and 20% B roads in normal mode. Done many times with my previous CT 4S and at least I have now seen 50 miles more...
It’s not a financial decision, buying a Taycan is just a stupid decision 🤣. This said I am on my second…
If it was my personal money I would not go near anything new, just the best 2024 j1.2 I could find. They are already down 30k plus…60 to 70 probably you’ll even find a 4S well equipped. 40 k...
Two different beasts!
CT being great at family things, super supple on the road, bit more capable of you drive on snow or gravel. Fast and with a real range of 200miles. I loved mine.
The Turbo has the look, the speed, the drive. Porsche managed to create a range of cars off the same platform...
