You can always go runflats and lose comfort
spare, carlift, tools are are needed to switch, which most of the time is not the best experience for your car. Do you know where to lift your Taycan? Without incurring damage on it’s bottom?
in a shop they lift at 4 point, on the road only one...
It’s 9cm’s wider than an e class, with mirrors closed I’ve got 3cms on each side entering my works parking garage, that’s with mirrors folded up, with open mirrors I can’t enter.
In general you don’t want your car to be taken apart to deeply. The assembly is designed as a one way street and taken things apart again always causes wear and tear on clips etc. replacing a heater is already bad enough, but opening up things multiple times is typically not what you want.
I’m not worried about the car, but extremely worried about scruffing rims.
it’s very difficult when needing to pull or swipe cards for entrance or exit, as the seating position demands you to get close to pull a card (sitting low), while the car width eats out of that distance too. Add a queue...
I guess the market doesn’t care about justifications, if dealers won’t bite, stock piles up and there are plenty to choose from, also 2nd hand, potential buyers will pick the cheapest.
if you want to sell, you need to remain vigilant to the market and keep benchmarking your offer.
Yes Europe DC charging gets crazy expensive, the “free” destination charging narrative (charge your Porsche for free at top destinations) has quietly been killed as well.
DC tariffs are now 75c/kW+
The Porsche card is “good” for Ionity, but a ripoff for everything else, it basically doubles any...
Yes, Every other carplay enabled car had those phone buttons mapped. Once my combox BT is fixed I won’t be using carplay, but for now it’s the only way to call handsfree.
It not even about the multimedia, it’s just simple phone buttons dial/hangup / scroll so i can phone safe without reaching for a touchpad. Even the cheapest cars have that mapped.
So, my combox is broken and in backorder, hence I need to connect my phone via carplay, to my surprise carplay is not supporting the steeringwheel or touchpad, only the CarPlay window on the middle screen itself? This can’t be true right?
i need to be able to click the voice command button for...
The app mirrored the portal status, both were in sync. As far as I can see it now, it’s a sync glitch between car and API that you just have to make sure the profile is green, but also activated above the car, if not dissable/enable again. I think that’s were I went wrong before.
