Friend of mine bought one off a lot (not a dealer). He has no idea the specs. Some specs are obvious - others are not.
Is there a way to plug a VIN in somewhere to find the dealer that took possession, as they would have the specs?
Other ideas? Hopefully better ideas? TIA!
I had sport chrono on my 911S and in 12 years of ownership never used it. Now that's a car where it's relevant. So I am really wondering why anyone would pay to put one on a Taycan other than as a gimmick. Better uses of a budget to fund things that really impact performance, like RAS.
And if...
I have the RWD with RAS which requires the air suspension. Coming off a 911, this feels like a sailboat at low speeds. Its heavenly. I wouldn't pay more for a more comfortable ride, this is ample.
What I notice is that all this comfort goes away at high speeds or using "sport" modes, because...
I don't have to look back at my car in the lots because I so very often am stopped by admirers who say the car and color are beautiful. Absolutely no regrets and not nearly the number of problems I see reported by other owners (which is really unfortunate).
I got something similar going on - on the front plastic portion of bumper. Drove up to Yosemite from San Diego and got it as a souvenir. I've been avoiding looking at it. It's not down to the paint (is the bumper even painted?) its just the PPF that got torn a bit.
You can take it to the...
For clarification, I don't use lane keep feature when I'm on surface streets, only highway. And I may or may not have had the turn signal on. Still, the car decided it was smarter than me. And while it may be, I didn't need it to give me whiplash in that moment.
Haven't had any scary situations in 2+ years of ownership, just the occasional unexpected loss of PCM functions. That never impacted the driving experience, so I never complained.
But today I was in a left turn lane that had a curbed entry (tiny curbs to guide the car into the lane), I went...
I plugged into an EV charger then went to dinner at a restaurant directly across. When I returned I found I had a $30 bill for "idle time" at the charger. But the first 30 minutes were indeed free! I guess I learned my lesson.
