I’m taking my car to the dealership next week so I will ask about the footwell temps. I have a MY2022 4S with 2-zone but even in the app when I go list my standard equipment it clearly says (as others have pointed out)

  1. Advanced Climate Control (2-zone) with separate temperature settings and air volume control for driver and front passenger, extended footwell temperature control, automatic air recirculation mode including air quality sensor as well as comfortable control of the airflow via PCM

Good idea as TBH, as I hinted at in my prev post, it doesn't make much sense to me that the front footwell feature would be tied to the 4-zone climate control option - curious to hear back what they say.

? … that’s what I posted …?
Yep but you mentioned it was cryptic to find but it isn't that's all.

Also the Auto mode is not a requirement to locate either. Individual, Focussed and Diffused are all Auto AC ventilation modes. If none of these are active then the footwell control isn't available.

The only angle you have here is possible mis-selling but there are always caveats so unlikely to get too far on that one.

The Owners Manual and Porsche Good To Know App also indicate 4-zone is a pre-requisite.

The owners manual just says (depending on equipment) which I assume is referring to the 4-zone climate control but it doesn’t say that. As far as the GTK app, it’s not even updated with content for 2022 models yet afaik.

I think the more likely explanation is that “extended footwell temperature control“ is the name of some feature that’s altogether different from the ability to customize the footwell temperature. A bit of deceptive marketing perhaps.

You can adjust the airflow but that's about it.

It is a misprint to my mind - there have been others.

There is nothing particularly new in MY22 cars which isn't covered in the current PGTK app - remote parking is the only thing I don't see.

Be that as it may, they have two sets of docs for 2021 models but nothing for 2022 yet. I doubt there is a very big difference between those two 2021 versions either.

Yes, aware of that but the 04/21 revision is still current nor can you assume a new revision is made for every model year.

My guess is that there will be an update around April this year given the release of Sport Turismo and GTS models which start shipping by then.

Is there no way to activate &/or adjust front driver and passenger footwell heat without having paid up for rear seat heating? (4-zone control)?

I thought Footwell temp control with 4-zone only was common knowledge and well documented on this forum. I chose it because of it as we have it on the Cayenne and it makes a big difference, to us. I have a 2023 and my Climate Menu does not look the same as @ciaranob. I have Soft and Strong and then Footwell temp is hidden in 3 dots at bottom right on that screen with 3 options: Cooler, Normal, Warmer.

This is what I have exactly as in these pictures from the online manual for 2023 model year.

I agree it's mentioned on the forum but it was hard to believe that useful footwell heating would not be standard on a premium car such as any Porsche … so I asked for confirmation. Thanks for the quick reply and photo.

I have been trying to get my footwell temperature increased the last couple of days, with no joy.

Car is booked in for other recalls, so I have asked them to look at it.

Hoping it's not the heater failing (again) as cabin temp is not particularly warm, even with temp set to 26c.

They did say one of the recalls (on their records) is for a cabin temp sensor or something, so hoping that might be the cause.

If you get a chance … would like to know what your service department has to say.
