So I disconnected only the Porsche Connect app. The alarm went off with in 1 minute after arming. Then I disconnected the My Porsche app. Hasn’t gone off yet. So we will see. I don’t need the apps; although, it is nice to cool the car down before us in it.
My understanding is Porsche Connect is a phone app only. My Porsche is both a phone app and a web application accessible on a desktop/laptop computer. Did you disconnect My Porsche app on phone only, or on phone and desktop also?

Following to see what solutions may be available. I've still been struggling with this issue (and have posted about it a few times). The double lock, and always manually powering down and unchecking interior alarm monitor has prevented it from happening, but being unable to casually use my vehicle or lock it and leave it somewhere without a panic feeling at the back of my mind that the alarm is going to go rogue is still a big bummer.

It's my only complaint and issue with my Taycan, but man it's a stressful one.

I don't have the MyPorsche App on my phone. I do have the PorscheConnect app on my phone. The MyPorsche web account for my car exists though. I'm hesitant to think it's only app related though.

I have used Peter P100’s workaround method…put alarm in privacy mode… since Monday and have not had any false alarms during those 4 days. Hopefully Porsche will give us a proper fix for this issue soon.
Maybe I am lucky but alarm is in privacy mode and no false alarms for almost 2 weeks. Most of the time I only lock using one click with motion sensor armed.

I disconnected both apps on my iPhone. I don’t use them on computer. I just plugged in my Porsche Wall connect charger and the locked the doors and the alarm went off. So then I double Locked it. It seems ok now. It is a bummer as I would prefer Not To use the key but rather the handle lock. I did notice that the interior monitoring box was checked again even though I had unchecked it before.

In the PCM, I unchecked the two options for interior monitoring and so far no alarm issue for the past week. I press the lock button only one time and see the lights blink twice. Opening the porsche app does trigger the alarm.

Not sure why people get on this forum and don’t read previous posts regarding their issue.
Disconnect the Porsche Connect app or the new My Porsche app and put car in privacy mode. and then double click key fob. That should do the trick.
Good luck.

Double-clicking the fobb is enough. Make sure that the car responds with three flashing lights (2x short, 3rd time longer), indicating the deactivated interior alarm.

After reading the manual carefully, I learned that one can also touch the door handle twice to lock to achieve the same function to disable the interior monitoring. So I can live with that until they come up with a solution for the problem. I usually keep the key in my work brief case and don’t carry it in my pocket or want to pull it out to lock the car.

When the internal monitor is deactivated the light indicators flash rapidly then go out for 28 sec and then flash in the normal mode. Page 30. For me it is easier to see that the light is out during the 28sec period to ensure that the monitoring is off.

Deactivating “Car Alarm” does not fix the false alarm issue in my case.

Half an hour ago I returned home, locked the car and deactivated the interior alarm with the key. After that I plugged in the charger and set a timer. And ten minutes later… again a false alarm. Seems as if charging activates again the interior alarm. Or charging with the timer.
Did you have the precool / preheat also set on the timer? I had to also turn off the pre cool / preheat on my timers. My alarm, when it has gone off a few times after disabling the alarm service, goes off when the app receives a jotification that precool / Preheat has started.

Ours had the issue since day one didn't have the app installed, disabled the interior alarm and use the remote fob twice to lock. Still going off randomly....not sure why everyone is adamant it's linked to the app when we never used the app and still had the issue.

I’m convinced the app CAN trigger the alarm to go off for no reason but I also know for a fact the problem happens without the mobile apps installed as well.

I got my Taycan 4 CT on Friday (after 9 months).
the alarm issue started immediately after I locked the car for the first time in my garage.
1. it's a disgrace that Porsche has not fixed this issue, since it was reported a few moths back.
2. its a disgrace that they deliver a car to me on Dec 31st, knowing this issue exists without telling me, or advising a workaround.
beyond that..... it's a nice car.....

I have been double clicking the locking for quite some time now, in order to keep the neighbors (relatively) happy. I had a couple incidents when the alarm went off for no reason, naturally in the middle of the night, before I took up the double click. It has worked, as I have had no complaints after taking up this easy but slightly annoying practice.

I know at least some alarm problems have existed irrespective of the phone app(s) or other remote service use, but quite a lot of posts here have revolved around guesswork that at least some alarms might have to do with apps and/or car connectivity to remote functions.

I've already switched from Connect app to My Porsche app in the mean time. Now yesterday the My Porsche app received most extensive update in my use, affecting some connectivity and charging functionalities. (Also there has been a press release confirming what has been the talk: My Porsche app is the one that will be left standing and other Porsche apps will be faded away)

Could other users that have an updated My Porsche now also venture to give a go to dropping the double click, and see if these updates had some sort of an effect to the alarms problem?

isn't the solution to deactivate the interior alarm in the car settings until Porsche has a fix?

After troubleshooting the problem I found a solution that worked for me. It seems that the alarm is set off when the My Porsche app connects to the PCM. This is done continuously in the background by the app. Deleting the app solved the problem.
I also use the Connect app but this app doesn’t seem to connect to the PCM unless you start the app. Starting the Connect app sets off the alarm a couple of seconds later.
So the solution is, delete the My Porsche app on your phone and don’t use the Connect app when the car alarm is activated.
