Trying to gauge if it’s worth the upgrade and wanted to hear your experience thanks.

I’m interested too. I always had a gut feeling the base was software limited.

No proof, just a hunch based on the 0-60 launch va rolling pass performance.

Wow the Taycan depreciation is worse than I thought!
it's a shame.
but I am curious about why is Porsche pretending to offer full-power but only during these "Launch Control" or "Push to Pass" events and tuners like @redshift-performance create a niche market for themselves by removing that limitation.
Was the question "Why is Porsche limiting full-power to only these special time-factored events" ever expounded upon and i missed it-sorry in advance if so?

I see all the aspiring OEM's do that throttling of full power:
Lucid: you have to press some stupid "confirm you want full-power" button to get 100%
Porsche: you have to come to full stop and then activate "Launch Control" because even the "Push-to_pass" is not giving you 100%

Is Tesla the only OEM that allows full beans by simply pressing the Plaid-button?
Of course, i am excluding OEMs like Rimac or McMurthy Automotive.

Possibly 2 main reasons:
To reduce the strain on the battery and drive train.
Yo sell higher trims for more profit. They charge a heck a lot more for the Turbo S than the 4S.

I am glad I have the RWD PB+ then. I am interested in this if I can leave NORMAL mode alone, and put all the performance in SPORT mode.

I bet this voids your battery warranty, in case you haven't considered that. And probably will affect the battery recall that affects all of us.
I have tuned ICE cars, not sure i'd ever tune the Taycan....

I ordered the RedShift Secondary ECU. I also ordered Draggy so I can measure my performance before and after.

I opted for:
Speed Limiter Removal
Unfiltered Throttle response in SPORT mode only. NORMAL mode is going to remain stock.

I didnt opt for the Recuperation Increase. I like how the default regen works and feels. I am not really looking for one pedal driving.

I will let you know how it goes once I get everything installed.

Thanks, that’s great!! A lot of RWD owners are curious about the results ?
