I went shopping for a CT 4S over a year ago but was told > 12 months for delivery so ordered and received an Audi e-tron GT within 3 months specced with pretty much everything. It's basically a 4S with lots of options ticked.

I have it on a three year lease, so 2 years left and will definitely be looking closely at the A6 S6/RS6 Avant (I'm in the UK). 10% of the time I miss an Estate (wagon) though have been very pleasently suprised with the load space of the GT and I get my two bikes on the roof (thank you Porsche roof bars and rails). 90% of the time I drive it like a sports car and that is what it is designed to be.

I'm disappointed with the A6 looks though. Nothing like as sharp as the proptotype was. I get stopped in the street with people telling me how good my car looks - that's not going to happen with the A6.

Right now I would go for the same again in RS spec in black, but two years is a long time so let's see.

Just in case any of you lovely Taycan owners wanted to see your sister car with bikes on top.

Might be better shoved in the back of an A6 avant??

^ So are the references to 135kW charging in parallel to be interpreted as 270kW at 400v chargers? If so, then yes, big improvement! But I thought that just meant 135kW, so no change from the Taycan when equipped with the 150/400 option.
MY25 Taycan does away with the 400v DC booster option due to the architecture split. Same principle on new A6 onwards.

Sane story on Macan EV

Guess what, same story for Cayenne EV and e-tron GTs

The following passage just sounds like all the MY25 Porsche EV models are still stuck in the 130s at the only reliable charging network in many American regions:

Bank charging comes into play if the selected station operates with 400-volt technology, with an intelligent software effectively splitting the 800-volt battery into two batteries with the same voltage thanks to built-in high-voltage separators. Both batteries can then be charged at the same time with up to 135 kW at a 400-volt charging station without additional HV booster, making the Macan compatible with charging stations around the world and supporting that it can be used as efficiently as possible by customers.

And this.
Which means that in the northeast, since a Taycan can never charge at 270kW, the 2025 Taycan is not any faster, and it’s still slower than many 400v cars at Magic Docks.

Shorter charging times thanks to new charging architecture
In addition to the high-performance battery, Porsche has also significantly upgraded the charging architecture. The newly developed Combined Booster Charger (CBC) replaces the DC/DC converter and the first-generation HV booster. Its newly developed power modules and optimised cooling enable up to 320 kW of charging power at 800-volt charging stations – 50 kW more than in its predecessor. Charging at up to 150 kW is possible at 400-volt charging points. The charging time there is about 35 minutes.

That's for the new Taycan - Which does not have the new architecture.

The PPE platform "splits" the battery in two. So each battery charges with 135kW which gives a total of 270kW pulled from the charger. At least that's how I understand it - Yet to see someone test it.

Although 135kW in parallel would in theory be 270kW, the A6/S6 and Macan PR never mentions 270kW.
Perhaps it's not a simple combination, just like total EV hp is never as simple as summing up the rear and front motors.
But I'm still surprised they're not saying something like "well over 200kW" or "nearly 270kW" at 400v chargers.
If the PPE platform really is that fast, then it could rightfully claim to the fastest charging EV architecture for North American, given the eventual opening up of TSCN V3 and V3.5 400v chargers to all comers.

I watched the Q6 charging video and it's very clear that you are right :( It never exceeds 135kW. So the only ones benefitting from this dual-bank approach is Porsche and Audi as they can avoid adding a 400V onboard charger like the Taycan has.

Again it wouldn't matter so much here in europe but I can see that it will be a big issue in NA.

It seems to me that Audi/Porsche is struggling a bit on design vs engineering on their latest EV products. This Audi EV, the Macan, and the Gen 2 Taycan have conceded on aesthetic appeal in favor of efficiency or practicality. While I loved the pre-production version of this Audi from ~2yrs ago, I can not say that this one catches my eye.
